DSP NCAA League (XBox 360) signup and discussion thread

OK...from what it looks, people seem to prefer B and below teams, and there is a mild preference for random draw. So I'll probably split the difference the following way.

I'll pick a level (probably B- teams, if that's fine w/everyone, though I have to check and see how many teams there are at that level...if you think we should go higher (B) or lower (C), let me know. I will do a random draw from those teams. IF, in our ratings division, there is a team that you really want to play with, PM me or post here and we can probably accomodate you. And if you don't like the team you got in the random draw, we can do a 2nd random draw.

I'll be out for part of tonight, but I'll try and post teams tonight, and maybe a first draw. Also, if you haven't signed up in this thread and are interested in playing, please post here. There are a few of the usual league suspects missing...so we'll keep slots open for them.

Also, we currently have 19 teams signed up. If we get a few more (say 21), we can probably do three seven team divisions...if the numbers fall a bit, we'll probably go with two larger divisions.

WOOHOOOOOO!!!

I think I may be in. Ive got to get the wireless connector for my xbox as the computer/router are nowhere near my tv but after years without high speed access my little slice of the country has FiOS. Do I have a few days to get in on this?????

Glad to see this thread back on track, after playing a lot more I am very excited for this. I know I said random but I was more or less asking how the draw would take place.

Mutts and Dieselboy,

You're in. I'll be out most of today, but I'll try and find the time to pull up a list of teams (I'm thinking that B-/C+ teams will work...bad but not horrible). I played a C+ game against Zeppo last night (MTSU v. Louisiana-Lafayette), and it was pretty fun. However, if there is mass uproar, we can go with higher rated teams (B).

Also, note that even if I do a random draw today, we can still add teams as needed if you're interested in playing and haven't signed up yet.

Have we determined the skill level setting for the online games that we'll be playing?

There's a big difference between AA and Heisman, especially when playing with lower teams where you might have only a small handful of good players. On Heisman, you might consider opening up to the B teams, on AA, you're probably okay with a C+ ceiling. Just a thought...

That was quick. First random draw is done. Message if you want to keep your team or not. If you don't message, you will be redrawn. If you don't message after the redraw, you won't have a team. You have until Sunday evening to decide on the team you want.

Also, if you still want in on the league, there are still slots available....we can draw from the unclaimed teams

Since this is the weekend, and some don't post over the weekend, I'm moving the redraw deadline to Monday evening.

Bolt,

Hawaii's not on the list of teams. So I'll put you in for a redraw.

If you don't like your team after the second redraw, I will do a QUICK (Tuesday) final draw. If you do NOT make a request, you'll get redrawn and have to keep whatever team you get on the final Tuesday draw.

Yea just loaded up the game and saw that they are above the teams listed. Redraw is great, thanks.
