OK, so I spent a good amount of time playing with this whole shape and skew stuff (way different than skinning a car of a PC sim) So my first project was my union logo and it was rough. I have not painted a car to put it on, but here it is, with a picture of the real logo.

Image

Its easier to make images on the roof of a mini ;)

Here is my 2nd venture. Nothing special, but the dawg took some time.

Amazing stuff, everyone. Teal's General Lee airborne shot is awesome! This got me interested in trying designs this weekend.

Seminole,

That's a great car. Not just because of how good the logo is either.

OK, since I don't have an artistic bone in my body it took me forever but here is my attempt at the Mitsubishi WRC05 Lancer. Now I just have to figure out how to get this car ported over to DiRT. :P

Here's the real one. The body style is slightly different but I did the best I could.

That's a good start! I'm sure that's not exactly what you want to hear, but I'm serious-keep tinkering with it. You can put alot of the manufacturer stickers on the back there, and it needs a ground effects kit, but other than that, I see no problem, artistic bones or not...

The good news is that the hard part is over, from the looks of it...

That's a trick job, Mixer. Gigi Galli or Harri Rovanpera would be very proud, man!

Take care,

Very impressive guys. I have yet to find the patience to work with this stuff but after seeing all these I might jsut givei it a shot. I just feel like I could better spend the time practicing my driving.

I hear ya, spooky, but this is one of the reasons I love this game. As I personalize my own rides, I feel a greater connection to the races, and take greater interest in what's going on. I have more motivation to get better at the driving because I'm driving MY car out there.

It takes some time, but for me at least, it's time well spent, and it can be really fun...

Teal, that's outstanding. I want that skin! Slap it on some cheap car and gift it to me or sell it to me. The font in the logo is so unusual, and I wonder if we can build it from shapes, but the overall package you've created there is very nice. Great stuff!

Yeah that font would take forever, but who knows? I might get bored one day...

I'll put it on a car and send it to you; you can save the paintjob as a skin and send the car back...

Wow, fantastic jobs guys! Teal, count me in on wanting a copy of the DSP logo, I'd like to use it instead of the big DSP on the front of my car. Once I make a copy of the logo I'll send the car back.

I may be able to do it this weekend, as it looks like our vacation will be ending a couple of days early as eveyone is getting sick... :(
