In looking at the stats, the ERA's do look a little low and the team batting averages look low also, so we may need a little adjustment. I could change pitch speeds from 75 to 70.....add +5 to contact and lower
the pitching difficulty slider a bit. What do u guys think?
I don't think this is a bad idea (raising contact) but I think that we should also lower the power sliders or perhaps not power swing on every single pitch (which is difficult to regulate)? For those that didn't read the manual a power swing is accomplish by pushing up on the left stick before swinging (pressing A) instead of using the swing stick where you pull back with the right stick and simply let it go for contact or follow thru for power. I get the feeling that some people may not know that so I'm just throwing it out there.

Overall though I'm really happy that people are still participating and talking about what is going in the league. Things aren't perfect but they definitely are fun!

Good game last night Jack. That was crazy how we both scored a run in the first couple of innings on wild pitches and that was it until I fell apart in the 6th.

I'd say don't mess with the pitch speed as I think the slower the pitches come in the harder it is to hit. For me I haven't been able to get a string of hits together mainly because of the players on my team and I swing at a lot of bad pitches in the early innnings so it's not a big deal. I have moved some guys around in the batting order for next game though so hopefully the players will respond. :P

I'll most likely be on tonight for a game or two.

After completing all three games against our newest member Rustedwalleye and his Mets the Rockies (MacsomJRR) have been knocked back down to .500 leaving the Orioles sitting safely at the top of the league. Here are the lastest standings.

Is everyone still playing league games? I have been side-swiped the past week by Guitar Hero fever, but plan on getting right back into this.

Won't be on tonight with the Penguins playoff game on but I will be available Thursday and Friday nights if anyone is looking to play a league game. I have been playing franchise mode with the game over the last few days and am still enjoying it very much.

I've joined a few other leagues as well to get my MLB 2K7 fix cause there are only a few people who seem to be playing all their games in this league. If you ever see me on live don't hesitate to ask me for a game. Tonight I'm gonna be out for a dinner so I won't be on til late, probably 9-10 pacific time.

Just finished a fun game vs. Vader. I love it when people actually throw me balls and don't start complaining when I do the same. It was a close game with great pitching but in the end my defense came up short and I lost 2-1.

Thanks!

I am going to have to drop from the league as my 360 has bit the dust again. I think that I am going to wait awhile to get another console so after this one gets repaired I am going to put it on ebay.

I have to drop from this league as I have decided to sell my copy of the game and just play The Show. I have just grown tired of the thin gameplay and prefer The Show by a large margin and don't want to keep two bball games around.

Can we agree to just declare Sport73 the winner, and recipient of the cash, prizes and bragging rights included therein.

If everyone's quitting or just not playing games, it's clear the Orioles were the winners.

Thank you!

I might be interested in getting in on this if there are others still playing. I will have to wait for my console to get back from MS though :(

I also need to find some good settings for offline as I am hitting way too many HR's.

I think we're all winners in the end. Hugs and butt smacks all around.

So unfortunate that this didn't last, all of the league games I played in were a lot of fun. I have been playing franchise mode and have been seeing a pattern where whomever wins the first game of a series ends up winning every game in that series and it is starting to feel almost like the games have a predetermined outcome so I'm not sure how much longer I am going to stick with this game offline. :?

vader what settings are you using? I pretty much turned everything down/off and raised until things were looking good. I have turned off all inside edge stuff and it give it more of a random feel.

I have just been playing with default sliders on pro, not using inside edge at all. It just looked odd when I looked through my season schedule that is a couple of months in and every series has been a sweep by one team or the other and I've read on other boards that it has happened to other people as well.
