Congratulations To Naples, Ajax: WE League Champions!
Naples, Ajax Earn Their First-Ever DSP WE League Championship
Ajax Amsterdam under the direction of Naples earned the DSP WE League Championship for Season Nine with an impressive eight wins and only one loss in ten games. It is Naples's first DSP WE League Champsionship. Last season's Champions, Slumberland's AS Livorno, fininshed in 2nd place with a goal difference of +12, but could only muster 5 wins against 2 losses and 3 draws, and could not keep up with the front-running Dutch team.
In the DSPenultimate, the 2nd Division, Sully's ACF Fiorentina side earned promotion into the top division with an undefeated season, earning 7 wins and dropping only two points thanks to a draw against NYIsles and Atletico Madrid. Sully will be replaced in the 2nd Division by Jared who uncharacteristically was unable to complete his season games with Olympiacos CFP.
In Division III, DrMacca continued his impressive run towards the top Division with his West Ham United FC side recording a perfect 8-0 season and an incredible 34 goals scored. Macca will be replaced in Division III by Leebo whose adventure with Feyenoord was marred by a 360 breakdown in the final stages of the season with a few games left to play.
In Division IV, newcomer Met34 took his Levante UD team to the top in a very tight battle with TCrouch's Inter Milan. Levante earned 19pts on the season while Inter earned 18, the narrowest of margins, although Levante's GD was +28 to Inter's +14. Despite not losing a single match, Inter's 3 draws were enough to seal their fate.
In the DSP WE Leeague Season Nine Cup, all but one Quarterfinal match has been completed. My own Monaco side, along with TCrouch's Inter and DrMacca's West Ham Utd. await the result of the game between Sully's Fiorentina and Jared's Onlympiacos to see what the random draw will produce for the Semifinal matchups.
I'd like to thank all the participants of the league for making this thing so incredibly fun, and a special thanks goes out to Jason for the hosting and the help over at his SGN League site.
At this stage, I would like to invite any and all interested newcomers to sign up in this thread for Season Ten of the DSP WE League. Also, current members who wish to continue into Season Ten should also post here, indicating if they want to keep the same team or opt into the random team draw, and if so what Tier of teams they will be drawing from (Top Tier of the best 17 or so teams in the game, or the larger 2nd Tier of the mid-range teams). Season Ten should be set to begin next Monday, May 14.

I am moving this summer, but I expect to have no problems with a high speed connection, so count me in for next season to defend my crown.
I'm gonna change my team though. The 4-3-3 was fun and successful for me, but after playing these guys in DSP league and cup, and doing a league against CPU, I'm ready for a change after near 50 games with them. What can I say, I like to bounce from team to team.

Sorry to all that I missed all my 2nd half games, i was on vacation.
I'm going to skip a season, I've kind of soured on the game and the warm weather will cut down my gaming time.

I'll be back, and I'm now not sure if I'm keeping Olympiakos or not. When do I have to decide?

Final games of Season 9
Olympiakos 5, Tottenham 1
Olympiakos found the best time for their best game of the season, besting Tottenham in a offensive battle. The game started well for the Greek club, with Rivaldo scoring first and Djordevic volleying home a loose ball to take a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Berbatov dribbled through the porous Olympiakos defense to take to trim the advantage to 2-1. But then Olympiakos bounced back with headers by Rivaldo and Stoltidis, and a breakaway by Garcia. The 5th goal was crucial, in that it guaranteed that Olympiakos would only have to tie in their second match against Tottenham to stay up......
Goals:
Rivaldo 28'
Djordevic 38'
Berbatov (Defoe) 56'
Rivaldo (Garcia) 65'
Stoltidis (Rivaldo) 76'
Garcia (Rivaldo) 87'
Tottenham 6, Olympiakos 2
Olympiakos' hopes at staying up in the DSP Premiership were dashed as Tottenham blitzed the Greek defense to deny their hopes. The game started with three goals in the first fifteen minutes, two quick goals by Berbatov and Keane followed by a stunner by Rivaldo. With Tottenham up 2-1 came the most important two minutes of the match.
Babangida got through the defense on left wing with a two-on-one with Rivaldo. Tottenham correctly guessed that Babangida would pass, and intercepted a pass that would have surely led to the tying goal. Then Tottenham countered, and found Keane in the box. Ouadddou tried to slide to block a shot, but instead clumsily took down Keane and was shown the harsh red card. Keane finished the penalty, and then Tottenham scored on their next two shots to go up 5-1. Olympiakos fought to equalize, but was unable to attack efficiently with only 10 men.
Berbatov 5'
Keane 10'
Rivaldo (Zewlakow) 14'
RED: Ouaddou 24'
Keane (pen) 24'
Berbatov 28'
Keane 37'
Rivaldo (Djordevic) 46'
Davids 81'
Good games Cloud.

Waiting now to hear from Rob as to whether he wants to keep Villa or not. Also, we haven't heard from Cloud at all whether he wants to continue or not, and if so if he wants to stick with Hotspur.
Otherwise, this is what we have for Season Ten:
