Here's a great article on the show. Any of you guys still watching it? I'm completely hooked. It's my favorite show of the year, and I'm just hoping it comes back for a second season. From what I've read, it's still up in the air. There does seem to be a pretty avid fan base though.

I watch it religiously. Haven't missed a second of this first season. It's the best drama on network TV since "Homicide: Life on the Streets," in my opinion.sportdan30 wrote:Here's a great article on the show. Any of you guys still watching it? I'm completely hooked. FANTASTIC show. The term "great 'Friday Night Lights' episode" is becoming the truest redundancy of this year's TV season.
Take care,

Hmm, Sopranos, Wire, Dexter aren't running right now.fsquid wrote:Best show on TV right now. FACT
But "The Riches" is pretty good.
Enjoy the show a lot. It has gotten a bit soap opera-ish, with all the relationships and little dramas.
Oh and unsurprisingly, virtually all the football games are cliffhangers, several being decided on last drive/last possession. That's Hollywood though.

I'm kinda rooting against the Panthers at this point. I think having the Panthers win the state title would feel a bit far fetched IMO. They barely got in to the playoffs to begin with, and to win with a sub par QB who is getting better seems a little unrealistic. I just think it would be a bit "too Hollywood".
I keep waiting for the episode in which Jason Street is able to move his legs.....I think the percentages are high if the show goes another season.

Smash, while obnoxiously arrogant on the field, steroids use aside, is such a great kid. He does stupid ish from time to time like any other kid. He's my favorite character on the show. I think they could've gone without the steroid angle. Love the show. Just wondering when Street starts learning to walk again. Gotta give it up for Riggins for nailing that MILF.Pete wrote:One of the very few shows that I never miss. Love it.
There is not character that I do not like. The latest that I heard was that the NBC Execs love the show and it should be back.

That's one of the many beauties of this show -- the main characters are all so well developed. Everyone here seems to have a different favorite character, and that's the hallmark of a great show.MUTTS wrote:I dig it too...I especially like Riggins and the shy QB Matt Sarazen...or however its spelled.
For example, I really like Landry, Tami Taylor and Buddy Garrity as characters, as well as Riggins and Saracen.
It's hard to argue with anyone's choice of favorite character on "Lights" because they're all so damn good.

My favorite show as well. I really hope it gets another season. I do wonder how Tim Riggins stays on the team seeing how he never goes to school or practice and he gets in a fight almost everyday. In a community that small, the town would have turned on him by now and he would probably be off the team and maybe in jail.

Riggins is nailing a MILF as a high school senior -- he's a cult hero. All is forgiven.

I really enjoy this show as well. I still can't get over how good the acting in this show is considering the age and relative obscurity of the cast. I will be extremely disappointed if NBC doesn't keep this show going.

GREAT news. It would have been a travesty for this show to disappear after one season.dbdynsty25 wrote:NBC ordered 6 more episodes, so it'll be back in one form or another next season. Thankfully.

I guess we can't complain that they ordered 6 more episodes but I would have preferred hearing they ordered a full season. This is the best written and acted television show on free tv in America.
