Hey guys,
Hospital duty is over, but my gaming time is going to be limited to say the least. I'd like to ask for an extension, but it's going to be difficult going on impossible for me to do any "appointment gaming" for the next couple weeks. I may be on here or there, and I'd be thrilled to get my games in, but until my wife recovers there's no way for me to guaranty my availability. I'll take any necessary forfeits etc.

Sporting Lisbon 4:1 Atletico Madrid
Another strong start guided Sporting to a crucial victory. Unless Snate makes a last minute appearance and upsets Sporting in their only remaining game, Sporting will be promoted to the top flight next season.
Sporting again got off to a fast start, as an excellent string of short passes up the middle of the field culminated in a through ball to Deivid behind the defense. Carrying his hot hand from previous games, Deivid finished to the far post at 10'. Only moments later, Tello lofted a beautiful through ball over 2 Madrid defenders, leaving Romangnoli in alone on the keeper, who made no mistake.
Liedson then added to Madrid's misery by adding a contender for goal of the season for Sporting. After a through ball behind the defense, the Madrid keeper came outside the box to clear. His clearance was only a worm burner though to the left wing, and right at Liedson. Liedson took one touch to settle, then sent a volley towards the net from about 40 yards. The keeper frantically raced back, but the ball landed just beyond his diving reach on the goal line and bounced in to make it 3-0.
Madrid would then launch a series of counterattacks, only to be frustrated by errant shots. In the second half however, Torres forced an excellent save from Ricardo, and Mista cleaned up the rebound scoring from an acute angle.
Madrid's comeback attempt would be shortlived however, as some aggressive ball chasing led to a turnover in Madrid's end. Paredes headmanned to Liedson who was alone in the box, and Liedson confidently finished to restore the 3 goal margin--a score that would stand the rest of the match.

Danimal, let's try to hook up some other evening. It's 9:40 EDT and I haven't heard from you so I'm going to bed because I get up at 5:30AM. If you let me know a good night for you I'll stay up and we can get the game in.
I could play Monday or Tuesday night at 9pm CDT or later.

Anyone else like to play tonight? I'd love to get them all done in the same night.

Heroic effort by Atletico as they march into the Nou Camp and very nearly steal a point or more. Incredible defensive effort and stellar goalkeeping kept them in it throughout.
Great game Isles.

The deadline was yesterday, right? I was unable to get my games in with Macca and Skyboxer so I'll take the forfeit since they tried to set up games with me and I was late with the response. I'd ask for an extension but my work schedule this week is bad and I won't be able to play until the weekend. I don't think the results from my matches would have mattered anyways as Macca probably has the division wrapped up and Skyboxer and I are fighting for the bottom spot.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

Forfeits have been handed down to Juventus and for Liverpool's 2 remaining games.
Division III features a tight battle for the promotion spot with a handful of games left, and in Division I, even though chances are remote, Hotspur do have a shot at taking the Championship if they run the table, so I'd love to see the remaining games in those two divisions completed by the end of the week.
Division IV is completed, and Division II does have games remaining, but the only thing at stake is the battle for fourth and fifth.
At the end of the coming weekend, I'll fill out the game results with forfeits or draws, but I would really like to see the Championship and the promotion battle in Division III played out on the pitch.
Thanks!

Good thing the Chelsea players are good at finishing because they don't get many opportunities. Lampard scores on the only shot on target and then Chelsea goes into a shell to preserve a 1-0 victory. Valencia outshoots Chelsea 16-1 in the 2nd half but cannot score.
Good game, Hogz. You deserved a better fate.

My magic number is still one and I have a tough match at Benfica remaining. Plus, Benfica and OL would beat me in goal differential if they run the table and I lose to Benfica. I think we are all battling desperately for promotion because it is going to be tough to gain promotion with Macca in D3 next season

Regardless, this season has been a ton of fun. We have a great group of guys in the league and every game has been a treat.
