Yep you're right, sometimes the old brain needs a kick start. I think it was thee ASB series that never had an auto fielding option.dbdynsty25 wrote:Well in case you forgot, this is the same series that ONLY had auto fielding...at least the guys from VC did that when it was called World Series so people will try to forget it. LOL.Danimal wrote:This series doesn't have an auto fielding option does it? I know one series never had it and i can't recal which one it was. I always play with auto fielding and just control the throwing so this may be a problem for me.

WSB2K1 by Wow Entertainment (Sega Japan) didn't have manual fielding. WSBs after that didn't have auto-fielding. ESPN had various types of fielding assistance, but no auto-fielding.Danimal wrote:Yep you're right, sometimes the old brain needs a kick start. I couldn't pull the trigger and preorder this game while I was at EB to preorder The Show for PSP. I know I'll get it if it is even half decent, but I just couldn't do it after getting hosed 2 years in a row.
I'll just wait until a few of you play, see, feel, and pass the game through your lower intestine first in person!

I was hoping to see Wrigley. This will most likely be the last POTD before the game ships on Monday.
Gameplay movies 1 & 2 are at Wrigley.

Still very skeptical about this one. I'll be purchasing The Show on day 1 and reading about a week or two worth of impressions on 2K. No hurry to have two baseball games since the season is still a month away.
I'm sure day 1 impressions will read like MLB 2K is the best baseball game ever and then we'll notice a downward trend in overall feelings about the game from there.

I'm sure I'll have a bit of hesitancy when I purchase the game, but no doubt I'll be picking up this game. As a 360 owner, I have no choice if I want a baseball video game to play.tjung0831 wrote:I'm all over 2K7...i'm not even hesitating, heading to gamestop tuesday morning and will be playing it all afternoon.
If "The Show" on the PS3 plays like the PS2 demo I just played, then I know I'm not missing a whole lot.
I agree. I picked up the show demo and was rather dissapointed. Of course I had to put $5 down and reserve the show to get it but i've since changed that reservation for 2K7 which was my plan all along.sportdan30 wrote:I'm sure I'll have a bit of hesitancy when I purchase the game, but no doubt I'll be picking up this game. I don't think i'll have any real issues with 2K7 considering i'm one of the few that thought 2K5 wasn't a real bad game. I'm convinced that 2K7 is going to take over the top spot of my favorite all time baseball game, knocking off MVP05.

I will admit, after watching the MLB 2k7 videos in HD, it's hard for me to look at The Show on a standard TV on the ps2.

CAG has only 5 bucks off MLB2k7 at frys, but I think if you order it online, it's $15 off.
I've decided I am going to go ahead and buy a HDTV also this week for this game (and NFL2K later in the year). It seems that 2k makes their games for HD quality. Some of their games I've played on standard tv and 2k's gap between standard tv and hdtv output is much wider than say EA's.

I preordered it from frys online last Tuesday and a couple of days later got this in an email from them:
Thank you for your order. We apologize but the item(s) you
ordered are currently out of stock and we are unable to provide
a definite ship date at this time. However, we continually
receive new merchandise in our warehouse and we hope to fulfill
your order within the next thirty days or sooner if possible.
At this time, your order is still pending and will ship as soon
as the item(s) are in stock.
This is my first order with them so I'm not sure how long the wait will be.
