Dude, he's let coast. Midnight eastern isn't late for him.

Cloud, if you can be on sometime around 9 or 9:30 eastern, that would be great for me. 10p Eastern ought to work ast well, but I wouldn't want to start at 10:30E or later. We're in no rush, we have a week to get it in. Let me know.

Sully and everyone else in D2 - looks like I'll probably be snowed in this weekend so should have plenty of time to get in matches. I should be online after midnight eastern or earlier if requested.

Tottenham hosted Monaco this evening in their season opener. The game started off in a hectic pace with the Hotspur getting some early scoring opportunities and finally broke the deadlock in the 30th minute with a Berbatov header. Keane pounced on a beautfil pass inside the box from Davids to go into half up 2-0. Monaco, after only getting two shots on goal, came out all guns blazing and put the pressure on Tottenham early, however is was the Hotspur the grabbed their 3rd goal in the 49th minute. Monaco's Koller, then seemed to take over the match and set up Da Vaio's next goal. With the score 3-2, it looked like Monaco was going to equalize when a thru ball from Jenas set up the Hotspur's 4th goal on the match. Monaco would not go quietly as the grabbed a late goal with just 2 minutes left, but were unable to equalize.

Blackburn Rovers hosted Tottenham this evening in a game the saw the Hotspur's offense come alive. The game started with Blackburn clearly moving the ball around but Tottenham's defense stood tall around the box, keep the Rovers at bay. Dafoe opened up the scoring after 25 minutes with a beautiful strike in the left hand corner. Berbatov and Keane added goals towards the end of the first half to go into Half, up 3-0.
The second half still saw Blackburn controlling the play but the Tottenham counter attack was too much this time.

Chelsea continued its promising start in Division 3 with a 2-0 win versus Real Madrid. Chelsea opened the scoring in the first half when a Real Madrid player was blamed for an own goal that appeared to be heading in the net regardless. Real Madrid picked up the pace in the second stanza, including a period with 3 corners in a 3 minute period, but they could not dent the scoreboard. Drogba finished the scoring when he split two Real Madrid defenders to head a Robben cross.

Blackburn 0, Monaco 0 at Stadio Olimpico

In a dour affair, Blackburn's boss went up against his former club in their season opener and drew 0-0. No goals, no cards...not even a foul. The men of the match for both squads were the goalkeepers Roma and Friedel, who both had a few outstanding saves to keep the match level.

You too. I was just glad to get the connection issues worked out.

Paris St. Germain 1 Tottenham 1

SOG 12(7), 9(5)
FK 2, 5
Cor 4, 0
Fouls 5(2), 2(1)
Posses 53, 47

Scoring:

PSG: Pauleta (27')

Tottenham: Defoe (41')

The French and English sides played to a frustrating draw with both sides missing a number of good scoring chances. The visitors dominated the early play, demonstrating early that the hosts would have a long day containing the pace of Defoe, Berbatov and Keane. But the French struck first against the run of play, as Kanu played a perfect ball through to Pauleta, who had just a few inches on his defender. Pauleta took one touch and struck from just inside the area, beating the keeper to the wide side of goal and burying it in the side netting for the opener.

The teams exchanged chances throughout the balance of the first half, with Spurs finally drawing even shortly before half. Keane absolutely torched Dhorasoo on the English left, drawing cover from the center half and leaving a blazing Defoe wide open for a sqared ball. Defoe poked the ball home, completing the thorough filetting of the Parisian's defense.

The second half saw the Parisians dominate the play, but also featured a dazzling array of blown chances. Spurs had a few excellent chances themselves on the break, as PSG consistently got caught with too many men in the attacking third, but the English met with the same frustration finishing the deal.

Good game, Cloud. That could have gone 3-1 in either direction LOL

Good games last night Leebo, Truth and Mike!
R Madrid opens the season with a encouraging
1-1-1 record.

That was my first chance to play this new iteration of WE and I was
pleased. The solid gameplay seems to remain intact with sharper
graphics. The game pace has definitely slowed down a bit...more
like real life IMO. It does seems harder to score goals though. The
shots seem much harder to keep low or more precise aiming seems
to be required. Also, online play seems to stutter now and then...more
so then last years game I think. All in all I am happy with the game.

Hell of a match. I couldn't believe the pace on that Miccoli rocket, I was definitely on my heels early.

Playing a Master League with the default stiffs has really helped me out when I play with a team with actual talent.

For the other D-3 players, I will probably be online quite a bit again tonight. If I'm playing another game (NBA Street or College Hoops probably), just send me an invite or message and we can get the game played.

Division 4 Result

Post by Macca00 »

Arsenal 0 West Ham 4

Reo-Coker 33'
Tevez 42'
Tevez 45'
Tevez 77'

9(4) Shots 13(8)
1(0) Fouls 3(2)
46 Possession 54

West Ham continued their undefeated start to the Division 4 season with a solid four nil win over Arsenal. After Nigel Reo-Coker opened the scoring in 33rd minute, Carlos Tevez beat two defenders before a fortunate sliced finish past Jens Lehmann. The Hammers delivered the killer blow in first half injury time; West Ham manager Macca distracted Arsenal boss Lsdean (by talking about lag and free kicks) while Paul Konchesky crossed into an unmarked Tevez to head home.

Arsenal began to attack more in the second half and Henry missed a golden opportunity to bring Arsenal back into the match when he missed a gaping net following some excellent wing-play by Rosicky.

West Ham wrapped up the points, and Tevez his hat trick, when he pounced on an Eboue miscue to chip over Lehmann.

Great game lsdean, see you in the return leg!
