That is what I was thinking. Why would they want to detract even ONE person from buying it?

Well lets break down my statement.

"That is what I was thinking."

Sounds like agreeing to me.

"Why would they want to detract even ONE person from buying it?"

Still sounds like an agreement.

NOW I am mocking you.

While you guys are waiting to see the game in person, you can check out the soundtrack posted at Team Xbox.

http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/12843/Maj ... oundtrack/

I meant to post this yesterday.

311 “Down”
Bishop Allen “Middle Management”
Cities in Dust “Emergency”
Death From Above 1979 “Little Girl”
Dixie Witch “Set the Speed”
Editors “Munich”
Five Horse Johnson “I Can’t Shake It“
Greatdayforup “Man’s Ruin”
Les Savy Fav “Hold On To Your Genre”
Nerf Herder “High Five Anxiety”
Nirvana “Breed”
Sublime “Summertime”
Tapes ‘n Tapes “Insistor”
The Jealous Sound “Naïve”
The M’s “Plan Of The Man”
The Pixies “Mr. Grieves”
The Specials “A Message to you Rudy”
The Stooges “I Feel Alright”
The Thermals “A Passing Feeling”
The Walkmen “The Rat“
Wolfmother “Woman”

2K has got a weird music director. They're pretty much all over the place, and I like it, but I'm not to sure your average baseball fan would.

But would you really like to HEAR the game in person?

EDIT: Woman was very difficult to beat on HARD difficultly in Guitar Hero 2. After that it got a lot easier, but now I'm stuck on Stop by Jane's Addiction.

Sounds like the development team could use some Rice Crispie squares and peanut butter cups right about now.

Wolfmother is the new Rob Zombie. Remember how many games featured that Zombie song (forget the name) in the PS1 days? Woman has now been in every game released in the past 8 months. :D

Shawn's still with OS.
Keep in mind that Shawn thought last year's game was arguably the worst sports videogame he's ever played, so the leap that he speaks of isn't as huge as some may think when you consider that.

Regardless, his words are indeed promising. I was set to hold off for a couple weeks, but now am likely going to purchase it on release day.

That has to be a good sign...but this quote worries the hell out of me because it was so horrible last year:

"The main concern with fielding is the camera angle - as there’s only one, and it’s somewhat dynamic, meaning that you may occasionally run right by a rolling ball in the more-distant outfield; turning a single into a triple and raising your blood pressure in the process."

Yeah, I'm sold. Not just by Shawn's write-up, but by everything I've read and seen. It seems like 2k really made an effort this year instead of pooping out a license-protected $60 dump. I am sure there will be issues with the game -- no franchise can fix everything in a year -- but I suspect I'll get my money's worth out of the game.

Thanks for the link, snaz.

This series doesn't have an auto fielding option does it? I know one series never had it and i can't recal which one it was. I always play with auto fielding and just control the throwing so this may be a problem for me.

Well in case you forgot, this is the same series that ONLY had auto fielding...at least the guys from VC did that when it was called World Series so people will try to forget it. LOL.
