I downloaded the HD trailer of Blood Diamond last night. Man, the picture looks fantastic! Especially in comparison to the Borat trailer (SD) I watched as well. I can't imagine if I downloaded a movie on the marketplace I'd ever download a SD movie.

I downloaded ATL in HD and it was pretty damn good looking. I'm happy to pay a few extra MS points to get the movies in HD. I just wish there was a bigger selection.

Keeping movies for 14 days, or 24 hours after you start watching it, is a pretty good deal. Obviously it would be nicer if it was free, or cheaper, but it seemed like a decent deal for an HD movie.

I agree Db. I do wish there were more movies in HD. I was going to download Mission Impossible III, but it wasn't in HD so I decided against it.

How long did the download take?

The HD trailers that I download, like the two Eragon trailers, the GOW minute long trailer, etc. all look phenomenal, so I have no doubt that an HD movie would look good as well. I just think it hurts that it's not particularly on demand.

The download took a while. I'm not exactly sure how long because I was watching the Suns game the other night, but if I had to guess it would have been about 3 hours for the 4+ GB. Definitely not ON DEMAND but I was just planning on watching it later that night so it didn't bother me too much. Knowing that I had it for 14 days eased the burden of not getting it right away. In fact, I didn't even watch it until the next night.

agree it's too easy. it's too bad, because it could be fun on the right difficulty settings. Reminds me of the old Genesis games like "Desert Strike" and such.

FatPitcher wrote:Assault Heroes is OK....too easy, though (yes, on Hard). These games are supposed to make you sweat bullets non-stop, and this one doesn't. And the bosses are pretty lame.

I knew there was a reason I waited to download this. Now, how long do I have to wait for Knights of the Nine to be free?

Question for those with the HD-DVD drive:

It connects through a USB, yes? Does it have a pass-through of some sort for the camera, or do you have to put one or the other into the front of the machine? Just wondering as I contemplate the purchase. (Grand Prix. . . Grand Prix. . . .Grand Prix. . . :D )

I just got to mess around with a friend's for the first time this evening. The HD-DVD unit has two USB ports, so you end up gaining one in the end...nothing special about the connection, though.

You DO realize there are *two* USB ports in the front, and that it would probably be better to plug the HD-DVD player in the back anyway?

Now without the snide attitude...

The HD-DVD add on plugs into the back. I used a longer USB cable, which is great because you can put the tiny HD-DVD drive in a different cabinet etc.

It has 2 ports of its own on the back, so you do indeed end up gaining a port (which also makes it easier to position the camera without having to string its cable long distances. It also has the brackets needed to hold the WiFi connector if needed.

It's a really well-designed add-on to the console.

f*** you asshole... I took the time to answer his question, we don't need your stupid ass two cents. I honestly didn't know if he knew there were two ports in the front. I don't have any problem with Zeppo and I don't need you stirring up any. Just another coward trying to start problems that aren't there.

Uh, yeah. That's why I asked the question. I'd rather not have a cable connected to the front of the machine if possible.

What's with biting Sport's head off by the way? Seems pretty over the top. Are you seriously calling him an asshole?

I guess I'm confused about what you were asking then, my bad. You can absolutely plug the HD-DVD drive into the USB port in the back of the 360, and then you can use the two on the back of the HD-DVD for the wireless adapter. What Sport said in his post is correct also.
Zeppo wrote:What's with biting Sport's head off by the way? Seems pretty over the top. Are you seriously calling him an asshole?
He's trying to insinuate I was being condescending to you in my first reply somehow, which is ridiculous, since I not only have no reason to but have always spent a lot of time trying to give people helpful advice on this forum. That's one thing that *everybody* on here does, try to give good advice and to answer "help" questions. It's insulting to me that he would imply that, when it's not my m.o. at all.

Actually, it's surprisingly ON-topic... Simply put, any person that you play online with can rate their experience with you. Assuming you weren't being an ass online, the person likely was upset with the pounding he took at your hands and gave you negative "feedback" out of spite. The Gamer rep doesn't have anything to do with the actual gameplay itself, unfortunately.

That response CLEARLY was not necessary. Whether Sport was correct in gauging your tone or not, you didn't have to respond like that. Considering this and the fact that you've been in the middle of most of the forum feuds here in the past few months, and have been banned multiple times in the past for similar behavior, it's clear that you're a big part of the problem. So you will be taking a break...sorry. I'll revoke the ban at some point later (length of ban to be decided).

Feel free to PM me if anyone has any opinions re: the ban (too harsh, not harsh enough, etc.)

I wouldn't sweat it. Over several plays, your rep is not likely to suffer significantly from spiters.

Demo of Blitz: The League has been posted to the marketplace.

It's a shade over 1GB, I'm downloading it now.
