It's hilarious in the movie, that's what it is! :)

Because remember, the Old Man worked in profanity like other artists dabbled in clays and oils.

I cannot believe what I just saw...a PS3 just sitting in a case at Target on one of the busiest shopping days of the year! I had to do a double-take. I can't believe these things aren't selling (well, I *can* believe it now but wouldn't have if you would have told me that 4 months ago). Of course, I don't think I'll ever be lucky enough in the next month to find Wii accessories.

Is this parody? I've yet to see a single PS3 or Wii in a store since the launches. I fail to see how a single PS3 in a case indicates anything other than that while you were in the store at that time, there was no one who wanted to buy a PS3. What were you there for, eight hours?

I did see Xbox 360s stacked to the ceiling though. It's a shame such a solid system isn't selling very well. Stacked to the ceiling, I tells ya... nobody wants one.

I was in Best Buy and they had a big sign saying the had PS3 in stock, that was Xmas eve, went there today and same sign. I talked to the guy and he said they have had 5 units since 12/22 and haven't sold any yet. His response when asked why was "Everyone wants a Wi"

It's a legitimate question... I fail to see why a PS3 sitting in a case means it's not selling well. I had a chance to buy one from a co-worker last week, but I passed. Since then, I have come into some extra funds and decided that I would get one for Blu-Ray. If it's not selling well, then why can't I find one?

There are indications that shipments have increased. Futureshop.ca apparently had 1000 for sale last week.

But that said, now that Xmas is over, there will probably be resistance to the price tag, especially if Wii is seen as a viable substitute by parents at half or less than half the price.

I think there are some worthwhile games coming out in the first half, some multiplatform, some exclusive.

But they're not well-known games so it may take the release of GTA to increase demand for a $600 console. I don't recall if FFXIII or MGS4 are due next year though.

I certainly don't recall deleting any expletives...

Besides I like Spooky... he can say whatever he wants about me and I won't get mad. I know he doesn't get up in the morning with the sole intent of trying to start an argument with me.

Is this the part where you step in to lament how another PS3 impressions page has been ruined by pointless 360 comparisons?

No, it's the part where you ruin it with a useless post that has nothing to do with the PS3 or the 360 and is only attempting to antagonize someone. Par for the course from you. Nice try though.

1) No, you damn sure didn't in the other thread, but I guess you don't understand the term "expletive deleted". That being said, what you posted there was childish and completely unnecessary.

2) When I wake up in the morning, there is not a single thought of you or what you might post. How typical of you to blame me because you can't control yourself when asked even the simplest question. It is a real shame because there are times when you post some pretty meaningful statements. However those meaningful posts are often overshadowed by the temper tantrums and posts like in this thread where you seem to take any criticism of Sony personally.

Maybe childish, but it felt good. You deserved it.

LOL, this coming from a grown man who has a mad-on for a pile of plastic. Look if you want to squash the beef we can do that... but like Scoop said it is best if we don't speak on these matters because we just aren't going to agree. It can't be just me doing all the work... you have to participate too. All we have to do is avoid each other in these threads and everything is fine. I'll treat you as normal in other threads. It's a simple request... you don't have to do it obviously, but why not try?

It was sort of joking with the not selling well comment, but I was indeed very surprised to see one when the whole store and shopping center was friggin packed and those things were selling for thousands just a month and a half ago. It's quite possible that they just got a shipment and put them on the shelf shortly before I walked in or they just sold 20 in five minutes before I got there for all I know (although I didn't see anyone else in the store with any).

I have absolutely nothing against the PS3 and Sony and I hope they do well because I'm not real fond of Microsoft, but I have a gut feeling the PS3 will be very easy to find by early January. Hell, I could buy one on ebay right now for not much more than retail plus sales tax.

BTW, sorry for going OT.

Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot.

For a long time now, you've addressed any of the legitimate concerns about the release of the PS3 with a knee-jerk equivalent of a "go home and worship your 360" response. You've mischaracterized a good portion of this board's members as hoping the PS3 fails so we can all feel *so good* about our 360s. You implicitly insult the general intelligence of this board's members as we almost all know that a strong, competitive marketplace benefits everybody. You specifically insult the intelligence of people who call you out for what you are, a self-loathing 360 owner and PS3 apologist.

You called me out in this thread for 360 insecurity, but I'll happily restate my opinion here. I'll probably own a PS3 down the road after the release of at least a handful of exclusives or titles that are heads and shoulders above their 360 equvalents or if Blu-Ray becomes the overwhelming winner in the format war. Hell I'd be surprised if I *don't* have one by this time next year as I've owned almost every console in the last 15 years.

But you know, I might just be part of this whole anti-sony conspiracy...

I thought you might have been joking which is why I asked... thought maybe you were parodying anti-PS3 hysteria. Had you seen ten just sitting there or something I wouldn't have said anything, but I thought it was a weird thing to say about one which could have just been set out...

You REALLY don't get it do you? A "mad-on" for a pile of plastic? What planet are you on today? The only one who has an issue if we communicate is YOU. YOU are the one who flies off the handle if I ask a simple question or disagree with your incessant defense of anything regarding Sony or PS3. I don't have ANY problem responding to you in a civil manner, nor am I shy about confronting you when you attack others for no reason. At the end of the day, you need to drop your petty hatred for me and learn to get along. I don't hate you nor dislike you. While I don't care for your unnecessary personal attacks, I have nothing against you personally as I don't even know you outside of this forum. You need to find a way to deal with your personal issues with me as I am planning to participate here for some time to come.

Complete utter nonsense. I think you had a dream that there have been "legitimate concerns" about the release about the PS3. You really need to go back and re-read. Insecure 360 owning, PS3 hating people I have responded to... people who have made reasonable comments about the state of the consoles I have not. I'm not sure what Fantasy land you're coming from but it sounds like a neat place.

I had a chance to get one online yesterday, but when I added the total charge for what they were charging in shipping I changed my mind. Went today personally to the store and they were all gone.

Sony still sticks by the magic 1 million unit number by the end of the year, so they are there somewhere.

This is so damn funny... I ignored this guy for months, didn't say a word to him... He got mad when I wouldn't acknowledge him and kept trying to start s*** with me by talking to me (how sad is it when you are bugging someone who won't even speak to you). I finally ask Scoop if he can nicely relay the message to please stop trying to start trouble with me, but apparently his mad-on knows no bounds and he just had to keep it up despite Scoop's request.

Bleah... at least I gave peace a chance...

Yes, those personal attacks and offensive rebuttals in Sony's defense were so peaceful......keep playing that martyr card though...someone, someday, is bound to buy your act.
