Where do I find these UK demos? I've only had the 360 for a week or so.

You wont see it if you didnt set your live account up for uk region .
So just set up a new silver account for uk and you will see it.

But ok riddle me this. How does a pal demo play when the full games dont ? is it just the set up instructions thet says this is not your region or what , cos if thats all it is then someone should be able to crack that dont you think?

Well, the demos are saved to your hard drive so there shouldn't be any region check when playing those. The full games are on discs though which can be region coded to not play on this or that machine.

Ok...Just played 3 games of the UK demo- so I have somewhat limited impressions. Thanks for the tips on how to grab it.

Before I go into more detail, let me just say that with all of the negative talk about how WE made little improvements, I was shocked to see what I thought was a signficantly better game of football than I had ever played before.

The demo lets you play a 5 minute game with 4 teams available- Italy, Czech, Sweden and Spain.

Gameplay impressions- The gameplay seems far more sim like than previous versions. Stopping and turning on a dime without losing speed is a thing of the past. Momentum plays a much better role in this version.

Also, the ball physics are incredibly realistic. I scored a beauty goal with Gilardino just outside the box, and the ball spin and curve was like nothing I had seen before in WE.

Overall, it will be a harder game to score in perhaps, but that's what makes this game so compelling.

Animations- Much more varied this time around. This is partly due to the fact that the player models are more life like. Not as compressed as they were before.

Graphics- I'm not sure if it's because I'm a new 360 owner and just so happy to be playing games in HD, but to me, this game looks beautiful. The resolution, colours and textures are incredible. One thing I hated about the WE in the past was how murky the pitch looked. Now, its as smooth as silk and easy on the eyes to say the least.

Player faces are also spot-on. There are some beautiful in game cut-scenes where everyone is very recognizable and realistically portrayed.

Switch to the Broadcast cam- It's better than in previous versions...you can see more of the pitch and it gives you a great sense of being there.

And yes, the stands are now full of people....they look pretty good actually and add to the atmosphere.

Sure, it's dissapointing that editing features among other things have been removed from this version. But seeing as how great this game is overall, its easy to forgive Konami. No doubt that this game will be eating up the vast majority of my gaming time.

I would have to agree Fanatic although i was always gonna form my own opinion on this one, you always get some bad feed back with changes but above it all the portrayal of the game itself does keep getting better .

I dont know if it just fits my style better but it does what its supposed to do at the right times. Some very subtle changes but boy do they make a difference.

For instance , now with the momentum its easier to lose a man or make a quick move to just create some space to make a better pass no longer will the defenders know were your going before you do. Dont get me wrong here its not easy just more realistic.

Seems you get a little more time on the ball at times which i also like much more like a Premiership match now were you get pressured when its needed and time when your no threat.

I feel as if Konami can read my mind as they always seem to add stuff i would and it just makes it feel that more like the real thing to me.

Im sure its not everyones cup of tea but" Jimmy likey, jimmy want wingy."

Graphics are just fine ,pitch looks great and almost lifelike in the close ups.

Hey maybe they will add the editor back in for our WE release in feb.
I hear the master league has full 20 team leagues so ill be delving straight into that.

Very positive about it.

Merry xmas all.

Jimmy.

I pretty much agree with all the comments so far except I think the graphics are average at best.

I haven't been paying much attention. They took out the editor? Does that mean we can't rename the teams and players that aren't licensed? That would suck! What leagues are included this time?

Yeh no team names or patches for sure. Fewer leagues but they have the prem and the other major Euro leagues but i believe less than current gen go figure.

I only hope Konami heard the outcry from the fans about no editor and puts it back in for the US release.

I'm disappointed with the demo. Where FIFA moved closer to WE; WE seems to move closer to FIFA.

It seems the tackling and marking has taken a step back. Sometimes a defender will actually go in the middle of the ball and the off player when he's tackling or marking. Something that drive me nuts about FIFA 360.

The AI and physics seem mostly intact but I think the player animations have been simplified. It could be due to the demo.

With the German leagues not in PES 6, and no editor I think this one will be a huge step backwards. I don't see enough next gen AI going on underneath the hood to say this game has improved.

Realy i think the player movement throughout the whole pitch is incredible.
Cant pinpoint it yet but it did seem way different than current gen.

Fifa is shite dont even go there.

Biggest disappointment for me with this demo is player control. I really hate the 8-direction player movement. It really detracts from the game.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

I tried to get it, created a UK silver account but it's not showing up in the demos list. I must have done something wrong.

Leebo, yeah, that's the way it was with PES6 and one of people's major gripes. We can only hope that the editor finds its way into the US release, but I wouldn't hold my breath - it would be a first for Konami to actually add any significant content to a regional release.

Having played the PSP version, I am more worried than ever at the direction they are taking with the series. It seems to me that the AI is considerably more braindead than even the old PS1 and NES versions.

Are you Kidding me. I just watched a vid at gametrailers for the U.S. version on 360 it was USA v Mexico and they dont have the real names for the US side.
You gotta be joking its 2007 Konami how long do we have to put up with this shite.
Your bringing your game to a huge country for display and you hit them with that ? And dont include an editor so Landy cakes is "Dotan"

I give up i realy do. This next gen crap is bogus. Its less gaming for more money thats what next gen is.

Bunch of bastards.

If there's an editor the fake names (and even fake kits, to a lesser extent) shouldn't be a big deal. However it's still doubtful there will be one in the 360 version unless they actually improve on the PES release (which I don't think has ever happened with the series).

While Konami probably doesn't pursue the licenses as vigorously as they should, EA is equally to blame for locking up exclusive licenses and ultimately it's primarily the fault of the greedy FAs.
