Please remember that SSW is totally aracde as far as the courses and presentation are concerned. I can't stand the manga. It is to the point of embarassing as far as the characters and presentation with it....UGGGH!!!! again!
I love the gameplay and its challenge and that is where the game shines. Plus it would take hours and hours to unlock everything the game has to offer. I have only seen 4 of the 11 courses after 6 hours or so.
I haven't even seen all 18 holes on most of the 4 courses as the pangya mode only has me play 3, 6 or 9 holes.
There is a lot of strategy on shot placement, even on drives as you want a good position for the approach shot.
I have had many Tiger fist pumping moments so far.
I really can't wait for EA's TWG coming in March, if Headgate gets the Wii-swing done right we are in for a treat. Then there is a game in the pipeline for next summer called "Leaderboard Golf" Hopefully that will be good as well.
Anyone remember Leaderboard Golf way back on the C64? Grounbreaking golf game at the time.

Websites load fast - but since it is a striped down browser I'm not surprised. Keyboard support would be great, as would a larger text entry field (you will not be writing any epics).
It is in beta, so I expect better flash support and other functionality to be increased. It isn't a system seller by any means, but it is nice for a quick look-up if you don't feel like firing up the computer (or if it is in other use).

As posted on OS:
On Christmas morning, Wii owners will be treated to a surprise visit from Mario himself in the form of Super Mario Bros. for the NES, which can be downloaded for a mere 500 Wii Points. If Mario is not your thing -- although that would make owning a Wii pretty strange -- then there are plenty of other ways to sate your thirst for classic gaming on the Wii. Street Fighter II from the SNES is also slapping its way onto Nintendo's download service for 800 Wii Points. Players looking to vent their Christmas morning frustrations on the legions of the undead can do so with Super Castlevania IV, going for 800 Wii Points. Satisfying the desires of every child of the 90s, SEGA has saw fit to offer up the much-beloved Genesis title, ToeJam & Earl for 800 Wii Points. Finally, R-Type for the TurboGrafx-16 makes its return for 800 Wii Points.

My wife surprised me with a Wii that will arrive by Thursday according to Fed-Ex tracking. The only problem is it is the Wal-Mart holiday *bend over* bundle that comes with 6 games and the only one I want is Trauma Center. I'm hoping hoping that Wall-Mart's liberal exchange policy also applies to purchases actually made at Wal-Mart so I can trade a couple in for Zelda and Madden.
If anyone is interested in the following (or can talk me out of selling) let me know. I'd also possibly be interested in a trade:
Cars, Monkey Ball, SpongeBob, Elebits, and Grim Adventures of Mindy and Mandy.

Reviews of Elebits are quite positive. I just got Monkeyball but haven't had time to play it yet; I'll let you know.Leebo33 wrote:My wife surprised me with a Wii that will arrive by Thursday according to Fed-Ex tracking. We got the Wii opened up this morning. My kids had no clue what it was LOL. I rented Zelda, I've been playing it alot today.. they have been either building Lego or playing a $9.99 PC bargain bin Star Wars RTS game (Battlegrounds) on the PC. I have DragonBall Z and am debating if I open it or take it back and get Elebits.
My 4 year old stopped opening stuff once he found the chocolate balls in his stocking. All he wanted to do was eat.
Have not connected this thing to the net yet. Probably will do later.

Yeah, he's fired up.![]()
Merry Christmas brother!

We've played a little bit of Madden and I gotta tell you I think I"m really going to dig this. The controls are a bit more intuitive on the offensive side of the ball, but once I get the D down this could be a lot of fun for sure.
Very early impressions of course as I've only played a few tutorials and about a half of a game, but so far so good.
My son just dl'd the web browser and is playing around at the nintendo forums. One thing this is good for is that it will surely open up my computer time at home.

Congrats to all that were able to get one for Christmas. I'm still on the hunt and will be joining the ranks as soon as I can find one. I'm hoping the end of Christmas will make things a little easier but at this point I'm thinking I won't find one until February/March.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
