While my Naval "Service" wasn't nearly as hard as guys before me (or after me, now), it was spent floating in the middle of the Persian Gulf during Embargos in 1995. I had to find things to get me excited...like the Visit, Board, Search, and Siezure team. Somehow, when I see the films and stories about what's going on over there now, all I can do is say a heartfelt thank you to you guys.
There are veterans, and then there are veterans. Stay safe and thanks to each and every one of you.
Thanks to everyone in the military, past and present, for their bravery and dedication.
My dad served in the Navy for nearly 25 years off and on, including stints in Vietnam and the first Gulf War. There were times when he had to be away from us for long stretches. So even for those who served in peacetime, the military requires a lot of sacrifices, much more so than many other professions, and I appreciate those of you who make that choice.
I salute you Mizz and all our proud soldiers serving all throughout the world and also those Vets that have served. May all our soldiers overseas be safe and return home the USA soon.

My heart goes out to those overseas protecting our freedom.
As a Navy vet (4 years active duty plus 2 seperate stints in the reserves), thanks for the thoughts, and another big thank you to the men and women who's missions are much harder than mine ever was. To quote from Jimmy Buffetts new album: "Road side bombs and tsunami's, God how I miss those Commies, these days no one wants to fight fair..."

no, I did NOT intend that-sheesh, stupid geeks think they're clever doing crap like that. The pic I see is of a wounded younger marine being hugged tightly by an old veteran. That's what was intended.
Just remove the damn thing if that's still what's being shown on your end, Jared. I don't want to be connected to that drivel...
