I made a mistake on the shot power slider. It should be set to 0.

greggsand wrote:for the 2k7 360 folks, I've been playing around with the Goalie Sliders this weekend. I found if you crank them to:

Anticipation:0
Depth:0
Saves: 100

you actually get some more "life" in the goalies. The scores only seem to going slightly, but the goalies move around alot more. Oh, this is on AllStar difficulty.
My copy hasn't sold yet so I tried it. I appreciate the suggestion, but NHL 2K7 is still one of the least fun games I've played all year. I try to convince myself to like it because of the camera angle and smooth frame rate, but it just isn't any fun for me.

From OS (NHL 07):
For online and offline

The people over on GameFAQs are confirming the update, but apparently you don't DL it from the "Download Rosters" function. Instead, you have to start an online game, DL the rosters, and quit out.
Can't wait to check these out tonight.

Just picked up NHL 07 (thx LAKing) and its a blast. Was wondering if there was a way to set the season to less than 82 games? Also on the controls are most people using the skill stick (shooting) on the 'camera relative' setting or the 'always up' setting - can't decide what feels better.

Using the default skill stick is the way to go. I personally have my camera set to "Classic".

After many more games, I can say that despite it's flaws, NHL 07 is my favorite sports game on the 360 so far. Never before has a breakaway given me so much adreniline playing a game.

Started a new franchise with the latest rosters, lost 7-2 against San Jose and then beat LA 4-1 as Legacy was spectacular. Had a breakaway shorthanded with Sejna and it was great seeing his speed as I deked the goalie and put a backhander into the net. It was quite a feeling - something NHL 2k7 just doesn't give me despite some of the great things about that game.

Someone posted on OS you can't tell the difference in players, he couldn't be more wrong.

Mizzou,

1000% agreed on all front. Played Sport yesterday again and gave up a breakaway to Jagr in OT and just knew i was beat. The stars are definitely better than the average players one on one, as it should be.

I just finished my first season with the B's and i played every minute of every game and i STILL cannot wait to play more. I can't tell you the last time i played 80+ games of ANYTHING and was clamoring to get back to it. This game has brought the F-U-N back into sports gaming.

Finished 47-26-0-9. Played on Superstar with sliders from OS. I may need to toughen the sliders just a bit next season. It didn't get "easy" but i was winning more than i think i should have late in the season with this Bruins team.

Ended as the 4 seed and play the Devils in Round 1 starting tonight!!

NHL 07 has definitely kept that "one more game" feel since I've started my season. The start was very similar to the Wild's in real life, with my early winning streak ending on the West Coast road trip.

One thing is driving me crazy--the announcers pluralize all team names, so I hear things like "the Wilds are controlling the play."

Well, they shoulnd't call them the "Wilds" but you guys do know that they are only three teams that don't end up with an "S" right?

Yeah, but he does it in International games as well: 'the Czech Republics are up a goal' etc.

Any thoughts on NHL 07 for the PSP? I have to take a trip in a few weeks and was curious about this game. I'm not a huge hockey fan, so if it's not a pure sim I won't know the difference. Just wondering if it's a fun game that isn't too arcadey.

Thanks.

Let me just join the choir of voices who are having fun with NHL 07. Keep in mind that I am not as big a hockey fan as a football or baseball fan - so I am less obsessed with realism. But it is a fun game and I like the lack of a turbo button. I feel like you have the best of both worlds in this game - you get to control the action and feel a real sense of involvement and accomplishment - but at the same time, when you are controlling a good player, your chances of success is higher. Plenty of room for improvement, but a great start. For now I just keep messing around and learning my way at different difficulty levels, but this game definitely has that "Let's play one more game" thing going for it.

It is pretty arcadey. I tried various sliders to slow the game down but doesn't seem to help too much. It is still fun if you don't mind that too much.
