Winning Elven 360 in US?

Post by seanmac31 »

What's the story on WE? Has Konami even set a release date for the North American version?

I believe it will arrive in January:

Apparently it will be missing some features like the uniform editor or some other stuff, and the ML is still the same. No Bundesliga, but that was because of the German fed. But they do have more licensed National teams!

I guess we'll take what we can get. I'm excited about FIFA, but I'll definitely grab WE as well.

Konami just released this cover art for Winning Elven for the 360.

Is it dead on the XBOX? Sigh...looks like I'll have to buy a 360 after all...
Dammit. I wanted to hold out for longer.

Correct me if wrong, but I thought there was no region protection with the 360. Even so it won't do you much good unless you have access to a PAL set.

Too bad, because Manager 2006 was PAL/NTSC. Argghhh

Thanks

You are wrong, and there is region protection for the 360. Also, I'm pretty sure that NTSC and PAL are both analog TV formats, and thus don't apply to digital TVs or digital TV signals.

Some games are region free, though, like the new Splinter Cell game. I wouldn't give up hope on PES 6 working on American 360s just yet.

"Hope" and Konami are not words that go together for me. Already badly burned by the PS2 experience with this game to have any illusions about anything until the game is in my machine and functioning properly. But that's just me.

Heh, I agree 100%. :) The "hope" is that they were too busy stripping good features out of the 360 version of PES 6 to remember to region lock it.

But really, who likes saving replays or editing team names anyway? West London Blue is just as good as Chlesea, after all.
