'Style' points...I wonder if they apply to USC?

I don't what was worse, the official managing the clock, or UW not getting the snap off.
  I know.

I hope Michigan doesn't play out here though. I'd love to see them beat Ohio St. in the last week for a shot at the National title.

If there is indeed a USC vs. Michigan matchup, let me know, we'll HAVE to hook up while you are out here.
Will do. I need someone to teach my son how to surf.
Yes, yes you do. ;)

Well, after this game I think UGA should flip flop spots with UT and maybe fall another spot or two to 15. I expected the loss but not like this.

Too many turnovers by Joe T. As a bulldog, its hard to get mad at him as he loves Georgia as much as any fan. He just does not have the physical tools. The good news is at least we don't have to worry about going to Jacksonville undefeated again and coming away with a L.

I might post some more thoughts later.

Who made a fool out of himself? Not me. I can't help it if someone can't understand what I was trying to say, and instead places thoughts in my head and words in my mouth. I'm satisfied, because instead of some armchair buffoon on a TV show, Auburn got the 'L' they deserved on the field and proved they aren't a top tier team. I have no beef with that.

I have no beef with anyone else's team, and said so from the get go. But you can't tell some people anything. They win on the field, they lose on the field. Fine. It's when some self proclaimed football 'god' proclaims this or that without proof on the field in the way of a W or an L. Well, they have one now. So we'll join Notre Dame, and wish the next #2 more luck than either of us have.

So you two have fun pretending you've won something...

Oh we won...trust me. Now we don't have read your weekly rants about why Auburn isn't getting respect cuz they don't win with style, or they won by more points than so and so. We definitely won...all praise due to Arkansas, my new favorite team.

Exactly. Same thing at OS. The Auburn fans, were doing the same thing, there. Thanks to Arkansas, no longer an issue, so I guess that makes the Hogs my new favorite team also.

As an added bonus, we no longer have to hear Tommy Tuberville and his annual BCS politicking.

Now that we don't have to listen to whiny Auburn fans, talk about a team that's no where as good as they thought they were, we will indeed have fun.

Now that I think of it, a team of 12 year olds would've given Auburn more of a game than The Citadel.

Id love to see that but I got this feeling that Michigan wont have an answer for the scrambling qb that is Troy Smith at OSU...Michigan handled Quinn cause he just stands there and makes bad throws against a real defense.....just a gut feeling...I hope Im wrong.

Go Blue!....Go Trojans!

If that happens, then OSU would play in the Title game, and I would think Michigan would play us in the Rose Bowl. That is, if USC is indeed able to win the Pac 10.

I don't know what it is, but there's always something special about USC vs. Michigan Rose Bowls.

It's not his fault, the Tigers were the most overrated team in the nation, who don't travel, and don't play anyone out of conference.

Let me know where I am wrong witht that statement.

Anyway, USC is still USC, and Auburn is still Auburn, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Actually a couple of seconds.

Look, I know I'm a miserable f**k, but if I ever ran my mouth about this subject if it pertained to Miami...and they would go on the next weekend to not just lose, but look God awful...I would take the abuse with a smile.

I know you think you're trying to take it, but you really are doing a bad job of it.

Look-I began by talking about the nature of the BCS, had zero (read:absolutely no) intention of bashing other teams. You guys have turned it into something that it is most decidedly not, and are coming at me from that made up angle. I have no crow to eat, and will eat none just to satisfy your trumped up reasoning.

Auburn lost, which is the only proof that they don't deserve to be where they were. Notre Dame lost, and that was their only proof worth anything, as well. USC hasn't lost yet; they don't deserve to have people pick at them about 'style points' or any other such garbage; a win is a win.

That was the intent of my original post, and subsequent posts. I, at no time, declared Auburn any better than anyone else; all I said was that people need to shut up and let the proof be made on the field. It was. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I've read and reread this thread trying to find where I was chest thumping over Auburn's prowess and superiority to any other team in the top 25, and I don't see it anywhere. So please cut this nonsense out.

The only regret I have about starting this thread is the length to which it has been totally blown out of proportion and misrepresented...

Thank you, Fife, for that wonderful reminder. I don't sit next to a keyboard all day-and I'm not going to get hammered for something I didn't do and let it pass.
