Its just a reason why the rest of the PAC-10 sucks. USC does not need to stop recruiting but they do need to play good OOC teams to make up for their weak conference schedule and lack of conference championship game.Dave wrote:
Wow, not sure I've ever seen that argument used before. So USC needs to stop offering scholarships to so many talented players so teams like Stanford and UCLA can improve?
I'm just glad I can blame something besides incompetence for Indiana's struggles. Stupid Ohio State and Michigan taking all the talent.
'Style' points...I wonder if they apply to USC?

The question remains, then, who has UGA beaten, or even looked good against that would justify their ranking? I guess, South Carolina, they shut them out.bdunn13 wrote:Its just a reason why the rest of the PAC-10 sucks. I have already answered this question somewhere.. but know where. I am not a homer and am harder on Georgia than most people are on their teams. I would say they have a top 10 defense and a top 50 offense(if that). But its hard to drop a team out of the top 10 who has not lost a game yet this year and has finished in the top 10 the past 4 years while winning 10 or more games each of those years... Thats the only reason they are ranked where they are now.bkrich83 wrote:The question remains, then, who has UGA beaten, or even looked good against that would justify their ranking? However, don't worry about it, they will be out of the top 10 come Monday.
Is the 3rd generation kid going to play this weekend? I thought I had heard that.bdunn13 wrote:I have already answered this question somewhere.. but know where. Yeah, Joe T is starting from what I know.. 3rd generation bulldog, 5th year senior. He bleeds red and black for sure but he just lack physical skills. He dad is also the strength and conditioning coach so its hard to bench him as it would not be politicaly correct..
Still expect Matt to play some. People on ESPN were saying Mark needed to find a QB as the 2QB system does not work in college... How quicklly they forget. I think Greene/Shockley worked out pretty well.
Georgia is not going to win a national championship this year and I doubt they win the SEC East. I just want to see Matt get alot of game reps as he is the most gifted QB Georgia has ever had. Hopefuly one day he can take us to the promise land.

I saw that, the Greene/Shockley combo is exactly what came to mind. I don't know what to think of UGA. I think their defense is probably top notch, but they really haven't faced anyone with any firepower yet. Offensively they've been bad, but with their QB situation, and inconsistent run game, I think that's to be expected.bdunn13 wrote:Yeah, Joe T is starting from what I know.. 3rd generation bulldog, 5th year senior. Joe T. may not be the most gifted player to play that position, but he provides leadership at the QB position, people don't realize how important that can be for a team like UGA. I think after this weekend, we'll all have a much better understanding on just how good the Bulldogs are.

Oh, I agree 100%. He might give us the best chance to win NOW but I think its a rebuilding year for UGA. Likewise, I think Joe T has a great grasp on the offense(reads/progression). Richt has not opened up the offense yet for the young guys as he does not want to overburdden them.bkrich83 wrote: Joe T. may not be the most gifted player to play that position, but he provides leadership at the QB position, people don't realize how important that can be for a team like UGA.

We'll see. Tennessee hasn't exactly lit the world on fire after their win over Cal.bdunn13 wrote:Oh, I agree 100%. Auburn scored negative style points today. So much for the BCS -- the Iron Bowl is all that matters now for Tigers' fans.
Take care,

Indeed. Auburn's loss gave Lloyd's boys one more rung up the BCS ladder. Run, Mike, run!JackDog wrote:GO BLUE!!! Stomp Sparty!!!

Damn, I hate it when I'm wrong. They will lose to an UNRANKED team. There, that's better.dbdynsty25 wrote:The only problem is that Auburn will lose one of the aforementioned top 25 games.
This is precisely why you don't go on multipage rants about the BCS when your team clearly shouldn't be in an BCS bowl. The crow's a callin' Teal...enjoy.
Well USC escapes with a 6 point win over a previously 4-1 Washington team, despite losing both Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith for most of the game. As I have said from the jump, USC is simply not a National Championship type of team.
Hey Teal, who had more style points today?
Enjoy the crow, and the humble pie.

Yes indeed!! I hope my son and I get to make that trip again.bkrich83 wrote:Hey Jack,
If Michigan ends up playing USC in the Rose Bowl, you gonna head out?
Wow what a boneheaded play by the Huskies on that last play. They were standing over the ball for at least 20 seconds. Could you believe that?

I hope Michigan doesn't play out here though. I'd love to see them beat Ohio St. in the last week for a shot at the National title.JackDog wrote:Yes indeed!! I hope my son and I get to make that trip again.bkrich83 wrote:Hey Jack,

If there is indeed a USC vs. Michigan matchup, let me know, we'll HAVE to hook up while you are out here.

Will do. I need someone to teach my son how to surf.bkrich83 wrote:I hope Michigan doesn't play out here though. I'd love to see them beat Ohio St. in the last week for a shot at the National title.JackDog wrote:Yes indeed!! I hope my son and I get to make that trip again.bkrich83 wrote:Hey Jack,
