Agreed, DB.

I just think Shockey has a hair-trigger mouth, and it's going to make it almost impossible for Coughlin to rein in that locker room, even if he has the interpersonal skills to do it, which I doubt. Because as I wrote in my blog this morning, coaches almost always lose with the front office in coach-player confrontations.

Take care,

Hopefully he can be back in 3 weeks, I was looking forward to the game vs the Bears, and they have a bye week after that.

Week 3:

- Vick still can't pass.

- Bush is explosive.

- The Seahawks going up 42-3 before the fourth quarter was impressive. Alexander's injury won't slow down the offense too much...Their offensive line will get another test against the Bears.

- There seems to be alot of blow outs this year, maybe it's just my preception. I know that happened last year...just a bunch of boring games.

- Amazingly, the Eagles may be the best team in their division. Although the injuries will take their toll, and the collapse against an average Giants team isn't a good sign. Just like last year, the teams are decent in that division...but they all have issues.

- Roth and Brady both looked poor on Sunday.

There are alot of bad football teams. The best in the NFL all have issues.

My top 5: (in no order)

Colts
Seahawks
Jaguars
Bengals
Chargers

I like the Bears but they need to prove themselves to me against Seattle this week.

None of these teams are THAT good. Against a good team on the road any of them could lose...

You know someone has exhausted all his good faith when the first thing you think after hearing he tried to kill himself is, "Nice publicity stunt."

If he really is that depressed, I hope he gets help. Maybe this could be the thing that teaches him what a shallow, selfish person he's been.

Hmm, I probably shouldn't have started a new thread just for this story.

Agreed.

ESPN will eat it up as well. I don't know how many people know David Pollack(Bengals) broke his neck around the same TO broke his finger. Its pretty annoying ESPN did not cover the Pollack story very well yet they were all over TO and his little piggy.

Seeing you're a Philly homer, my guess is you like the Eagles. I guess if the Giants suck (as you say above), the Eagles must suck more given the way the Giants came back on them last week.
Not many teams are like the Giants when it comes to total lack of discipline. You can't say that for most teams, let's be real. I'm sure everybody on the Steelers wants a bigger payday, but you don't see the crap the Giants got going happening with the Steelers. There has to be a reason for that.

I do not like the Eagles and nor am I a homer anything when it comes to Philly sports. So wrong all around. The Giants do suck. Maybe they can bounce back and show me something, but they look pretty bad right now.

As for T.O., who the hell nows and who the hell cares. He does what he does and I just chalk it up to Terrell being Terrell. Dude's nutty. What more can be said.

My apologies PTK, my mistake.

As for the Giants, suck is not the four letter word I use when watching them. :(

The Bears handeled the Seahawks. I think they missed Alexander the most because Holmgren didn't feel obligated to run the ball, but either way I think the Bears come out with atleast a 10 point victory. The secondary was the weak point of the defense and the corners were finally exposed.

It's tough to win on the road in the NFL against a tough defense, hopefully this game will help wake Holmgren up. The Bears are officially up there with the best teams now.

I am almost afraid to say it, but they are the best team in the NFL right now. The defense is beyond ferocious. One TD in four games. They have a real passing game for the first time in 11 years, and tonight the running game finally showed up. The Seahawks definitely missed Alexander, but this is still a team that rang up the Giants for 42 last week.

And it was especially sweet to see a Holmgren team take a beating on national TV after the way his Packer teams always clobbered the Bears.

That's about all I've got to cheer for these days...the grads (who am I fooling, lets just call them former players). The current guys are garbage.

Dolphins offense stinks! And why the hell, Nick Saban, with the game on the line, would you rather have Ronnie Brown throw a pass, than your multimillion dollar quarterback?!?!?

The prediction contest for Haynesworth's pathetic antics should prove fairly challenging, seeing as how there isn't much precedent. He should be kicked out of the league and sitting in the pokey, but that won't happen. My guess: 5 games, 75 G's...
