WHat is wrong noone likes him?

Usually I will not make fun of something so serious but for some reason he felt like things were bad...I wonder why.

Wow. I hope he's OK. It seems that help was given to him in enough time. I've hated his antics and his attitude in the past, although I dug him in his rookie season when I played my Madden season as the Niners that year. I hope he gets the help he needs and gets appropriate treatment for his mental state.

This guy needs to get the hell out of football for the rest of this season and get his brain rewired through therapy. If not, then we have another Maurice Clarett in the making.

Take care,

I would hope this is not a publicity stunt because it would just be so wrong on so many levels. If this is true than TO seriously needs to get some help. We had a player go off the deep end here in Chicago and was very sad to see. Anyone remember Alonzo Spellman? Dude was a physical specimen with boatloads of talent that just lost it.

Good point, Scoop. But Rosenhaus is T.O.'s agent, so anything is possible. Rosenhaus slicks his hair every morning with the slime oozing from his pores.

Last year he was playing in the Arena League. Not sure what team though.

The spin job is already in place so I doubt we will ever know what truly happened. The police report is online and does state attempted suicide. So it's a question if the police got it right or not. I wouldn't put anything past T.O., but I do have to admit it seems very weird that someone would go and intentionally O.D. on their own pain medicine. The above link is also denying any vomiting or stomach pumping.

Hard to know what to make of the details of this incident, but I don't think it's a publicity stunt per se.

Shoving two pills in your mouth right in front of your friend and having him try to pry them out sounds to me like a textbook 'cry for help.' I think this is more personality issues (and rather serious ones at that) than media posturing.

Press conference coming at 12:30... according to local radio, TO has assembled a "spin" team of agent Drew Rosenhaus and former players Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders, who all will appear...

He has guest stars at his suicide press conference?...

Does Irvin know he contributes to the problems by defending every stupid thing TO does? Or does he even give a f***?

This guy has been crying out for help for years. All his so called friends do is kiss his ass instead of trying to help him.

Man, I hate to laugh given the subject matter, but that line gave me a spit-take.

Why Deion Sanders? He tried to off himself when he drove his high priced luxury car over a cliff. 8O

LOL... local media having a field day with it too. Quite a cast of characters to have to paint you as an emotionally stable guy.

Conference appears to be delayed... maybe they couldn't get the grill started???

The greatest golfer ever to play the game dies yesterday in Byron Nelson and today we are talking about Terrell Owens and his non suicide/suicide attempt last night.

T.O., Rosenhaus, Playmaker and Deion in the same paragraph.

Am I the only one that got horrific shivers from that?

The second page of the following article is rather interesting, and perhaps gives a little bit more insight in to who T.O. is and why he seems to act the way he does.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/w ... ens/1.html

I'm not a T.O. fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I can understand that mabye he had a self esteem problem and a lack of confidence. High schol can be tough.

The sad part of all this is that whatever the truth really is, it will be manipulated by T.O. and his agent to benefit T.O.

I call it like I see it...Dude's crazy.

I was a loner and an "stay indoors" person in high school. I didn't show much, if any personality nor do I have Hollywood looks and I had problems like T.O. did. Hell, my loner, home-body self had girls walking me home and talking to me all the time.

Actually, I was impressed that she went out there in that state (she looked like she was the one who OD'ed)... even my old frumpy mother would have jumped off a cliff before appearing on National TV in such a state of disarray.

I actually blame TO more for her missteps, since he should know you can't turn some chick you're humping into your publicist. Maybe he realized that he was never going to be rid of her and tried to off himself...

You're kidding, right? It's all part of the act, the charade.

Etheredge went before the media looking like hell on purpose. No question. She thought it would add more credibility to her claim that she was stressed out the night before because TO was incoherent and unresponsive.

It's pretty hard for anyone to believe a woman's claims that she had a rough night the prior evening if she walks out looking like Vanessa Williams.

It's all part of the act, painting TO as the victim.

Now, you're spot-on there, man! :)

It's debatable, as frankly I don't think it would have mattered either way if she fixed herself up a bit. I'm fairly sure she wasn't wearing that getup lounging around TO's townhouse. And whether it was planned or not, I'm still impressed that any woman would go out of the house looking like that. I mean she looked TERRIBLE... and you can tell she's not a bad looking woman, so you know it had to kill her. I dunno, maybe it's just the weird women in my family who are distorting my views, as my mother and sister can't go to the grocery store without looking like they're going to a Hollywood premiere.
