And why the hell is ESPN and Fox subjecting us to National coverage for 3 straight days of Yankees-Red Sox? For f*cks sake, I'm so tired of the hype and attention for those two, especially when one team is fading fast (11.5 games back last time I checked).
Agreed ...total garbage.
ESPN has always been the Eastern seaboard PN...Clowns.

What a total player A. Soriano is turning out to be. Over the weekend he became the fourth player in MLB to score 40-40 in a single season. 40 stolen bases and he has over 40 homers. Mighty impressive!

But because he only plays for the Nats he's not getting his proper dues.

He should have been 50/50 if he didn't struggle in the last couple weeks.

And of course that was the only game the Indians won. Naturally the Tribe's latest "gas can",errr closer of choice, Tom Mastney, blew the game for Carmona, then the Tribe wins in extra innings.
What a train wreck of a season for Cleveland.

So who saw the Dodgers comeback against the Padres? Anyone? Down 4-0 after the first, tied it up. Down 9-5 after 8 and a half, hit four consecutive HR's (2 off Hoffman) to tie it. Go down 10-9 in the 10th, Nomar hits a two run walk off to win. Dodgers are back on top by a half game.

Great game by the Dodgers. Reminded me of that old Dodger Magic they use to have during the O'Malley run days.

Yeah, Nomar had a pretty good Kirk Gibson impersonation going there, he just needed to limp a little more. What a game!

He actually did have a limp during the game, just not as pronounced. He probably wasn't feeling a thing after he hit that HR.

Despite their loss to the Jays, the other NY team claims the division title with BOS losing to MIN. And with almost everyone back healthy in the lineup, they may just go all the way this year. A subway series would be awesome to watch in the WS.

No, a subway series would suck for everyone outside of NY.

But I agree, the Yankees look like the team to beat this year in the post season. Also, the way they've done it this year, they're almost even likable! :)

Really? If anything, they exploited their ridiculous payroll advantage more than ever in that Abreu salary dump where they gave up four bad prospects.

But hey, Jeter's a leader so give him the MVP award. After all, the Yankees managed to overcome a 5 game deficit against what is turning out to be a bad Boston team.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that he didn't get enough credit for becoming only the 4th player to score the elite 40-40 since he was playing for the Nats. Today he became MLB's first 40-40-40 player when he hit his 40th double. Mighty impressive, his name: A. Soriano.

What happened to the white sox this year. I think all the antics this year by Ozzie probably cost them the post season. Think about it, would you want to play for a clown like that? Maybe last year he kept it under wraps but this year he really showed his true colors.

I disagree 1000000%

They won the world series playing for that very same clown. He was very much the same last year. Ya just never heard about it in the cow towns.
No spotlight a year ago when they snuck up on the Eatsern Seaboard PN.

The pitching just plain sucked. Thats the fact of the matter. The rest is just plain bullshit.

Considering the Phillies have a better record than the Cards right now, I think Ryan Howard has the MVP all but wrapped up.

I think you're right. A month ago, I'd have said there was no shot for Howard, but after the run the Phillies have been on, I'd have to give it to him since he's the reason. A hell of a turnaround.

Tigers in the post season. They still haven't collapsed :D . I don't know how they'll do in the playoffs but they are a great story this year.

They certainly tried to lose their playoff berth...but I digress and I will eat crow and say congrats.

The White Sox would have none of that as they are the team that collapsed under the weight of usually bad starting pitching and a shaky bullpen.

I congratulate the Tigers for a job well done and wish them well in the playoffs ...especially if they meet the Yankees.

Well wasn't it the Sox last year who blew a huge lead only to barely hold on when the Indians cut it to a game or something close to that? I don't know what it is with those damn AL Central teams.

Will the Cardinals win another game? Is it possible that Houston could catch the Cardinals with 7 games left to play? The Cards are only 3.5 games up with the Padres and Brewers left on their schedule.

Six games over .500......disgusting
