It must be the Sunday Ticket subscriptions.

I've never subscribed and they wouldn't offer me jack for the HD Tivos.

Finally got them to give me some discounts on the HR20.

Outscoring your opponents 60-7 is a hell of a way to begin your first two weeks. They got some serious help with a call on an interception, but they really look incredible right now. Defense is every bit as good as last year and now they have a good passing game. They didn't run well but that seems to be the theme against Detroit's line.

Read the threads I posted, it's all in there. Just call retention.

I've been meaning to thank you for mentioning this. I saw you post a link to a thread about this over at Abner's blog a couple of months ago, and I called customer retention about it shortly after. I was able to get a free HD Tivo, free Superfan, free Showtime for three months and free HD package for four months, all on the first call with no problems. I think they actually over credited me on the Superfan package, as I got an immediate $99 credit from what I had been charged the previous month for it, and then I got another $49 credit on Superfan on my next bill. You can't beat actually getting paid to take a HD Tivo off their hands! :D

Excellent. Glad I could help out. They actually over credited me too. I did it all back in June right before the autorenewal for Sunday Ticket started and they did the SuperFan $99 charge, then immediate credit of $99, but then last month they credited it again for $49.

TO claims he broke his hand. They took x-rays apparently and it's broken...or he could just be saying that to get more sympathy and to look like a hero when he plays next week.

The new Burger King commercial is funny.

The King plays safety and lays out a WR over the middle. Then he leans over him.

Not to taunt him but to offer him a Whopper. :P

actually, it's a broken bone in the right ring finger. We have a bye next week and Tennessee coming off the bye. I expect him to play in that game. If not, definitely the next week in Philly.

I read he's having surgery today, and expected to be out 2-4 weeks.

I don't know I think both teams, especially the defenses, are bringing it.

Wow, Tommy Maddox tries out for the Raiders.

He must be a glutton for punishment. What was he doing, selling insurance before he played for the Steelers?

If he thought Steelers fans were brutal ...

And you know he will have a tough time behind that struggling line and no possession WRs.

A local radio host said the origin of Porter and Shell's dispute was that Porter wanted to work out in the offseason on his own. Is that really the reason Porter isn't playing? Pretty silly if that's the case.

Incredible win by the Bears today. Grossman made some bad plays but I liked the way he shook it off to set up their last FG and the final TD. Their defense is just dominant -- 1 offensive TD in three games. The only real negative has been their running game.

We had that game on tv here and it had to be one of the more boring games I've ever sat through. The Vikings Defense sure looks good also.

OMG, what a drastic change of emotions at the end of the game for the Rams and Cardinal fans! Wow. First, the Rams fumble with 2:01 left in the game on first and ten. The Cardinals get the ball back at the 31 yard line and steam roll down to around the 20 yard line. Rams call their final timeout. On first and ten, Kurt Warner fumbles the snap! They were already in field goal position and could have easily run the clock down.

Rams recover and win! And I agree 34, that was an exciting but ugly game.

Chris Simms had to have emergency surgery to have his spleen removed. Gutsy performance by the kid.

Cut Jeremy Shockey instead. The guy is a blot on that team. He's TO Lite.

Take care,
