Could we have a blanket policy that requires that games be set up via PM/AIM, or any other source OUTSIDE this thread?
I think this would give more of a spotlight to the matches that were played and their recaps. I'm getting a bit turned off by clicking on this page only to see people's futile attempts at hooking up to play.
A suggestion is all.

It hasn't been futile for me. I've setup 2 matches in the past few hours. I've setup a lot of games and seen a lot with the blanket invitations that would have taken 4 or 5 PMs for the original invitations and then a few to confirm. I think this league has set a SR/DSP record for longevity and as long people are actively setting up games I really don't care how they do it...thread, PM, IM, etc....just my opinion.mobiggins wrote:I'm getting a bit turned off by clicking on this page only to see people's futile attempts at hooking up to play.

gg, Bubbaball. I got extremely lucky. It should have at least been a draw.

I agree with Leebo. I can honestly say that i've had not one problem scheduling a game in the 2 seasons i've been here. In a perfect world we'd have our own category within DSP with seperate boards for scheduling games and results/recaps.Leebo33 wrote:It hasn't been futile for me. Barcelona 2 - Bayern Munich 1
6/9 total shots
3/4 shots on target
no penalties
9/3 free kicks
0/2 corners
4/9 fouls
49/51 possession
Yellow Cards: Xavi, Puyol
Goals:
Larson 54' (Barca)
Hargreaves 70' (BM)
Eto 86' (Barca)
Barcelona was without their top scorer tonite, but Larson stepped up and got a goal in replacement of Ronaldinho. The ist half was a defensive struggle with both sides only managing a few shots apiece, but the 2nd half proved more offensive, with Barcelona opening the scoring at 54' with Larson getting the opener. Bayern Munich answered at 70' with Hargreaves capitalizing on a Barca giveaway and he made no mistakes and buried it from in close. Eto then showed blazing speed as he streaked down the left side of the pitch, leaving defenders in the dust and buried a angled shot under the crossbar to give the Barca boys the 2-1 lead, to which they were able to hang onto for the last 4 minutes.
Good game Leebo....could have went either way.
