The Rams did not look good. The Broncos did not look good. No team in the history of the NFL ever looked good without scoring at least one touchdown.

I really can't say the Broncos are better. I can say that Plummer is borrowed time after seeing Cutler in the pre-season.

I agree 50%...

The Rams offense was not good at all...Bulger was crap...He missed a few open WRs...The redzone O was a disgrace.

The Rams D on the otherhand looked very good...I know Plummer sucked...but if you had followed the Rams D the last two years under Martz's boyfriend Marmalade you would understand what I mean.

This D is light years better as are the special teams...I have some optimism.

The Rams DID look good. If they win the game against an AFC finalist, making them look pretty bad actually...it's a good win. Did they score more points? Did their offense move up and down the field all day...yeah. Fine, they didn't punch it in the end zone. I blame that on Linehan more than anyone...the playcalling was horrible once they got in Denver territory. I stand by them looking good. I mean, I did watch the entire game...did you?

Couldn't agree more. They beat a team that went 13-3 last year. The defense looked stellar and I'll take that over our offense looking great anyday. Offense will come around, but WE FINALLY HAVE A DEFENSE!

Mizzou looks great as well. :)

This is a madden thread so this is my last post on the Rams v Broncos.

The Broncos offense gave the Rams excellent field position and they could only score FGs. Give that to defense but on the other side you have the Bronco D which shut down the Rams. If you have a chance to win the game in the 4th when the other team scores 6 times, that's pretty good.

Also this is the first game of the season, good teams last year looked mediocre because it's opening day. NE barely won. Colts didn't run up the score (needed E. James). Opening day is not an indicator on how you are going to finish. Broncos lost to the hapless Dolphins, at the time, last year on opening day and got to the AFC Championship game. Before we go crowning the Rams Super Bowl Champs and writing off the Broncos, let's get another week down in the NFL.

Yeah, the hapless, 9-7 Dolphins that missed the playoffs and division crown by one game...winning 6 in a row to end the season. Hapless indeed.

And the Colts didn't run up the score? They couldn't...Manning got outplayed statistically by his younger brother. Stupid play calls and mistakes by other giants won that game for the Colts. They are a completely different team without Edge. A team that will make the playoffs only because of the division they play in (although the Ravens looked decent, especially on D)...I'd say around 10-6, 11-5 at best. Not sure why you made the "run up the score" remark. It doesn't make sense at all. Did you watch ANY football yesterday?

You are right about one thing...it's back to Madden for this thread. I'll look for your next ridiculous retort in the NFL Season thread.

Peyton 25-41 for 276 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT
Eli 20-34 for 247 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT

I hardly see that as outplaying anyone, not to mention Eli was playing at home and Peyton won on the road against a playoff team.

You are right about one thing...it's back to Madden for this thread. I'll look for your next ridiculous retort in the NFL Season thread.

OK, my bad. I didn't make the connection.

I just figured it was another one of your drunken tantrums. Based on your usual postings (like this one insulting me), I figure you really do think it was the Germans.

Roster due out today, i am at work so not sure.

Word on fatigue patch is another week or two, originally they were saying both together. So I am guessing the patch is with Microsoft for certification.

Scoop, please don't lock good threads, just start giving people timeouts from the forum.

Awesome, glad to hear the roster update is about ready. It'll be time to start some franchises after downloading it.

I'm assuming that the fatigue patch, whenever it gets released, will impact everything, including already-started franchises.

One would assume that, but who really know until it is released.

Roster Update is out for those who didn't know.

You need to start an online session and then download the rosters when prompted.

then load them in SP

How up to date are they? Do they have whats-his-name in Seattle from N.E? What about Duckett to the 'skins? And I heard Rod Gardner just signed with K.C., I don't even know if he's in the game at all.

Thing is, every time I go online, I have to d/l the roster and save it over the online roster I had saved the last time I went online, so it will be very hard for me to tell when a true update is available.

Is this roster update for offline as well, or only online?

Thanks.

looks like PS2/XBOX users got screwed in the roster update. When you load up franchise and try to cut players on the team, the game freezes...lol. Way to go EA! I'm thinking what are they gonna screw up with the patch?

It works for offline as well. Just start a quick game online, and it will download the rosters automatically and give you the option to save them. When you go offline, just load the roster save titled "online".

The updated Steelers roster disappointed me. They put guys like St. Pierre and Arnold Harrison on the team, but for some reason Tyrone Carter, a key player on the Steelers defense, has completely disappeared from the game.
