Oh, I did watch it...almost the entire game. You can return all the guys you want when you go 4-7 during a season...obviously you don't have a lot of NFL talent when you suck that bad. Just wait until SC plays a decent team...it's not going to be as one sided. I was impressed with the way Booty threw the ball and the way Parker catches it...plus you still got Jarret and Smith on the outside. They are going to be good for a long time...I just don't think I'd be getting too excited about a win over Arkansas...that's all.
I am just excited, we won, after Lou Holtz prediction of an Arkansas rout.

As far as playing a better team and having a close game. I would expect that to be true also. There are a lot of people out there though, begging for the Trojans to slip back in to mediocrity. Personally, I think they are going to have to wait a little longer.

We'll know more in 2 weeks after they play Nebraska.

I thought USC looked pretty good. The qb play was there and the D looks to have improved...Look like they havent missed a beat but time...she will tell.

Lou Holtz is senile...I wouldn't put much stock in him. Plus, he's a ND guy...of course he's gonna talk sh*t about USC.

How about Garrett Wolfe's day against Ohio State? He just might be the best running back in college football right now.

Yup, but I didn't want to have to hear about it afterwards.

Whenever Lou Holtz is on the screen, I seriously want to get a bottle of bleach and splash it on the tv. Old fartin' bastard.

P.S. BK, I wish I were a USC fan at the moment :(

Yeah you guys had a rough one last night. I fully expect similiar moments in USC's season, and would be surprised if at the end of the season the Hurricanes aren't ranked higher than the Trojans.

Who the hell is the groundskeeper for the Irish? That field is in horrendous condition. It's all uneven and has different patches of grass and whatnot. What a disgrace...almost as bad as the first half performance by the Irish.

The Irish still have six minutes to put even more distance between their performance and the groundskeeper. What an awful showing to this point.

Man, those Oregon uniforms are hideous. Glad to see them up on Oklahoma late in the first half though.

Just think...they still have 8 or 9 different combos remaining. They are apparently going to wear a different uniform combination for every game this year. And down 34-7 to Michigan just before half...I think the Irish have surpassed the groundscrew now.

Great, I hope Michigan can keep it up. I had to suffer through the Penn State game last week listening to the cocky Notre Dame radio announcers (I used to like Don Criqui...not sure what the hell happened to him). Pinkett actually said that it didn't rain last week because "then God couldn't watch his favorite football team."

If Notre Dame wins this week then Charlie Weiss is truly as good as he thinks he is.

Well the Canes ARE as bad as I thought. They are just getting torched all over the field on offense and defense...even with backups on the field for Louisville. This could be a record "down" year for the Canes. There are still quite a few more games they could and probably will lose.

Do you think they'll fire Coker? I was interested to see how that game would turn out.

Oklahoma ties it up in Autzen. They seem to have the momentum.

Yeah...he's as good as gone. He fired his entire staff pretty much after they got destroyed in the Peach Bowl last year...so now he doesn't have anyone else to blame. He actually is a very poor recruiter as well, so that doesn't help. He won a Championship, but that was with Butch Davis' players. Now that he's had a chance to get his own guys, they have been getting worse and worse every year. He's done...and I'll be surprised if he makes it through the entire year.

Scott - any thoughts on a successor?

I'd really like to see Randy Shannon (the D Coordinator) get a shot since he's been there for a while now. Either that or bring Butch Davis back. LOL.

LSU just got SCREWED! 4th and 8, late in the game and JaMarcus Russell throws deep down field and the auburn defender makes an great play to swat the pass down, but his teammate is called for pass interference. The SEC officials, picked up the flag, no pass interference. Turnover on Downs with 2 to play.

Goodbye national championship, goodbye Heisman, HELLO scoreboard! What an AWESOME day in South Bend.

P.S.: Does Notre Dame even have a running back on its roster?

Take care,

Always a great day when ND loses, especially to my alma mater (makes up for the drubbing my Owls are getting at the hands of UT). Michigan looked great and Quinn didn't look at all like a potential top NFL pick.

Oklahoma got screwed with 2 wrong calls in the last minute.

Good LSU-Auburn game.

Well, I am a happy camper. Seeing Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Miami lose on the same day! But I was actually routing for the Canes. After seeing Louisville keep their starters in last week up by 60 made me a hater - actually I have been a hater for years but that is beside the point.

I hate to belabor a point, but after watching what the ACC calls "indisputable" evidence and then seeing an obvious pass tip not overturned late in the OU - Oregon game, I am thinking the officials nationally need to get together. When a spiral turns into a duck - even if it is in Outzen stadium - that is indisputable. A lot more so than the crap the ACC officials have been overturning. I was pulling for the Ducks but that was a call I would have called indisputable.

I imagine that a lot of fans are hoping for a 4th loss tonight = FSU.

Man, that USC RB just put his ankle on backwards. That was some nasty sh*t. They have to outlaw that horse collar sh*t in the NCAA too.

Randy Shannon should be the top pick if they actually decide to listen to the Canes alum this time around. I thought Coker should've been s***canned after the Peach Bowl debacle.

Still, I'd welcome back Butch with open arms, or even Jimmy Johnson. Sonny Lubick is another ex-Canes DC has proven he can run a program.

Outside the alum, George O'Leary has done an amazing job in Orlando with the formerly talentless Knights. Gary Barnett is still a great head coach, regardless of the heat he took last year in CO.

Nope. Ball got tipped, no penalty. Good no call...

Contact was made before the tip, bad call.
