Any of you guys use this service? If so could you answer a question or two. The only thing I use the internet on my cell for is to get sports scores when I'm out. I only have a small chunk of data I can use per month with my plan. Mobile sites burn up very little data compared to the "real" internet. My question...does this service really eat up data/KB's? For example, MLB Mobile burns very little data. I had a session last night to check some scores and I used maybe 85 kb...a drop in the bucket with my plan. I have a link below. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, if there is another mobile site you could recommend I would appreciate it.

Just go to any site on your cell phone and it will convert it to either a wap site or a mobile site (for palm/windows smartphones) assuming they havea site that supports it. CBS sucks in my opinion. I just use the mobile ESPN site for all sports besides baseball (where I use MLB.com)...it uses very little data and it's small and concise. CBS adds way too many pictures and graphics...thus making it more bandwidth intensive...even though we're only talking about a very small difference.
Keep in mind, I'm using the smartphone version of these sites, so their wap versions might suck ass regardless.

Thanks DB...that is exactly what I just did. I'm using my Treo also. Got it all set.dbdynsty25 wrote:Just go to any site on your cell phone and it will convert it to either a wap site or a mobile site (for palm/windows smartphones) assuming they havea site that supports it. Try Mobile ESPN...
Now that the price is coming down significantly, I have to staunchly recommend Mobile ESPN if you're looking for a new phone. The ESPN content is all free and you can follow games practically up to the second.
Originally, I could understand people's hesitance to try it out, but now they are practically trying to give it away. I've had it for about four months and I LOVE it. Regular internet is extremely cheap as well, but it can take a little bit of work to get to sites that aren't programmed into the phone.
