hellbent, when you get a chance can you try both of these games in your 360? I wouldn't mind picking up ESPN Baseball again with the updated rosters over at Operation Sports and I never played Links for some ridiculously stupid reason and would love to try that out as well. I just want to make sure there are no bad framerate problems or any other reason I would be wasting any money.hellbent wrote:Great, Links 2004 and ESPN Baseball (2k4) add two more to my list of great games I can play on the 360. Hope they aren't quitting the BC process anytime soon.
Thanks.

Does Links run in widescreen at 720p and 1080i? I don't like that sideways letterboxing business.

Has anyone played Call of Cthulhu? I had thought about picking that up before.

The more online Links the better.
Not to be a complainer, but I wonder why Mercenaries hasn't been added to the BC list yet. I swear it uses the same exact engine as the Star Wars Battlefront games, and they cracked those some time ago. I keep holding off on playing into Mercenaries any further, since I figure I'll just start over when it goes BC.

I believe if you have a memory card that there is something either out or coming out to use like action replay. Whether or not it works I am unsure but I would like to see. If I find out for sure I will let you know.Brando70 wrote:Can you get updated rosters onto the 360? I'd like to play ESPN again myself.

That sucks. There is a poster at Operation Sports that has gone to great lengths to get the ESPN Baseball roster current to this year. He started this project well before it was known they were going to make it BC because he was playing it and was reminded by how good the engine in the game is, which I tend to agree.Leebo33 wrote:I don't believe that the current memory-card based transfer tools for X360 can transfer Xbox files. At least you can't transfer WE9 saves.
Maybe there will be something made since there are more and more original xbox games that are or will be BC on the 360. Who knows though.
Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up for nothing.
EDIT: Thanks for the clarification Leebo33.
In response to a question regarding WE option files:

The sata comes with software called xplorer 360 thats what makes the difference i believe, i even tried the software with my transfer kit but it seems some options dont match up that way.
Get sata it works for sure if not well have to wait longer i think , some one will get the transfer kit to work.
Good luck and post any findings.
Yep, Datel's XSATA is the only way right now to use original XBox saves on a 360. I used mine for WE, and it works great.Zeppo wrote:In response to a question regarding WE option files:

Links amazingly doesn't run in widescreen! It does look nice, but I have no idea why they didn't do widescreen for it.
Indycar is widescreen and ran great, All-Star Baseball is not widescreen, Vietcong is and looked a lot better. Torino is also not widescreen.
Strange that the old box will run a lot of them widescreen but for some reason they don't make the translation.

I have easy access to the HD toggle switch on the cable so I use that for Links and WE9. I played some Links the other night in Widescreen on the 360 that way. I just switch it back to HD when I'm done playing.Slumberland wrote:I bet if you change the dashboard output settings to 480p it will play in widescreen, but that's a little too much trouble for me.
