Rallymonkey, I added you to my friends list. We are scheduled to play (Ohio U. vs Fresno State) in the losers bracket.

When are you available???
Possibly later tonight (10:30 EDTish) if the wife turns in early. Otherwise the weekend is going to be hit or miss for me.

PM with what might work for you and we can try and set a plan.

When you down to play Bill? Tonight is sketchy, but if you give me a time I can see what I can do. I've got all afternoon available tomorrow though if you're down for some afternoon football.

Actually, the wife and daughter leave for Atlanta Saturday morning so I'm easily available anytime after that for the entire week.

Party at Abner's!

Zeppo,
How about tonight...10 PM eastern? I've got to work tomorrow night so this is pretty much my last change before I leave on Saturday.

Hey Rally, I'll be around on Saturday after 4:30/5:00 and then all day Sunday. Just name a day and time that works for you and I'll be there.

Oklahoma St. Wins At Home, 28-18 Over Kansas State

Post by Zeppo »

Last night, Oklahoma State took advantage of 3 interceptions from Kansas State, one of which was fumbled but picked up by another Ok. St. player and taken all the way for the score, to defeat the Wildcats 28-18 at home.

The score at the half was 7-3, K. State having taken an INT from Ok. St. and turned it into a FG in the first quarter, and the Ok. St. defense scoring on the above mentioned play. In the third quarter, Cowboys QB #14 found WR#84 for a 68yd TD pass, a play that practically doulbed the offensive output of the team to that point. Another TD pass in the 4th quarter, this one to TE#88, put the score at 21-3.

Kansas State responded with a strong drive, ending on a 1yd TD run from HB#5. The two point conversion was good, putting the score at 21-11 with 3:11 to go in the game. But Ok. St. QB #14 showed off his legs once again, and ran an option keeper 72yds for a TD. K. State added one more score, this time a 70yd TD pass to WR#27, but with only 2:09 to go and the score at 28-18, it wasn't enough. Ok. St. ran out the remaining clock, and looks forward to their third round game.

UCLA defeats Pittsburgh in the second round of the tournament 31-19.

UCLA's quarterback was the star of the night as he was 14-17 for 295 yards 3 tds 0 ints and also had one touchdown rushing.

Game was very well played with no turnovers by either team.

Bill, is it ok to just play a game ahead if both teams are ready? We could just PM you the result and you update it after the next round officially starts.

You guys are always free to play games when the two teams are set. You may have to wait longer between games if people are not caught up, but sure, fire away.

2nd round loser's bracket action:

San Diego State 14
Missouri 28

Total yards:
SDSU 183
MU 285

Rushing:
SDSU 13-55
MU 22-94

Passing:
SDSU 9-17 128yds 2TD 1INT
MU 16-29 191yds 4TD

A very well played game back and forth game, with no turnovers until late in the 4th when Flatus was having to air it up to try and get back in the game. Sacks were 4-2 in favor of Mizzou, who also had the only INT of the game and forced 2 fumbles (neither was recovered by the defense however).

Ultimately, some untimely penalties by SDSU helped to extend a couple of Missouri's longer drives as they had 6 total for 42yds. Another key to the game was Missouri's 3rd and 4th down conversion ratio, as the Tigers went 7/12 on 3rd down and 2/2 on 4th down. SDSU was 1/5 and 0/1.

Great game Lord Flatus.

I just got back into town yesterday. Nothing like a week in Panama City Beach trying to keep a 2 and 1-year old quiet in restaurants and stopping them from drowning in the ocean. (God I'm exhausted.) My daughter's favorite phrase was shouting, "Save me, daddy!" every time she saw a "big" wave. :)

I should be available for our game most any night after about 9:30 (EST). Is there a night this week that'll work for you?

Normally I'd say tonight but i will probably be headed to get Madden at some point. I usually can't get online until 9:30 CDT, is that too later for you? If so I can make arrangements for say Weds. Night.

How about Wed night right on at 9:30 (CST). I can deal with the later start on my end. It'll give my wife more time to hit the sack before I order her away from the TV. ;)
