Completing the clown mission is huge. After you complete the clown mission you can go and get the tourist as well. Don't be scared to escort multiple people to the security room. The most I have escorted was 6 at a time. You can also give the male survivors weapons to aid you on your escort back to the security room.

I agree that it is best to complete the case files as quick as possible. One tip I have to save time is to get around the mall using the skateboard. The quicker you get to a location, the more time you have to save people.

6 AT A TIME!?!? Woah...I have a hard enough time keeping one alive, let alone 2 or more. I have done 3 at once, but the amount of zombies on the second day makes it really hard to even get one all the way to safety.

Question...Where do you get the skateboard? I would love a faster way to get around that damn mall.

This game is hard!

I have yet to even beat the convicts in the jeep. Where is a good place to get guns?

How do you defeat the clown? He was b*tch slapping me around and I ran away with my tail between my legs.

He is a Boss that you do not have to beat I think, my son could never get him killed. You can do good damage with a chainsaw, or if he is blowing up a baloon, shoot the baloon and he will take damage.

My son never killed him in their 1st encounter, and is still continuing with the game.

Skateboards are located in the mall sporting goods stores. Sporting goods stores are located all over the mall. I used to hate the skateboard, but with practice you get good at it. Plus it is so easy to get, I will just drop the skateboard when I don’t need it anymore. The one I go to the most is the sporting goods store on the second floor in paradise plaza.

When it comes to guns, there are zombie cops that have pistols in paradise plaza. They respawn every time in Paradise plaza by the exit to Leisure Park. There are cops like these all over the game, and they tend to respawn in the same place.

The way I beat him is I had 2 guns and a knife I think. I first went to the walkway instead of fighting him on the amusement park ride. There is a lot more space on the mall walkway and some of the stores have food in them if you need it. Every time he try’s to attack you whether it’s with a balloon, knife, fire, or chainsaw he leaves himself open for an attack. Plus if you shoot the balloon while he is close to it, it will stun him for an attack. If you beat the clown, and stop the ride, you will get a very helpful shortcut for the survivors.

Tip: Cardboard boxes are all over the place and contain helpful items. All you need to do is take the Cardboard box and throw it up against a wall to see what’ s in it. It can be anything from food to weapons.

OMG! I am such an IDIOT! I beat the clown and didn't even stop the ride! If you hadn't mentioned this i never would have known. Now i have to stop there the next time i'm in that part of the mall. DOH!

I beat the clown by usinga katana blade mostly, and a sledge hammer. Just get into an open space away from the zomebies on the second floor. Wait for him to attack then go in for a bunch of whacks when he's catching his breath. I got lucky with the supermarket manager. First time he wouldn't charge me with the cart and kept shooting me with the shotgun. I tried to lure him to the checkout area but he wouldn't budge. Second time he just got stuck in an aile with his back turned to me and i just unloaded the uzi into him and finished him off with a few pistol shots. He never even had a chance to attack.

And one more thing, the mini chainsaw is sweet, especially if yuo pick up the book that makes edged weapons last 3x longer.

I feel like for every single new 360 game that comes out, somewhere on some message board there's a post about how that game kills your system. Snore.

I'm totally stuck in this game. I'm at 6:00am on the 2nd day and for the life of me I don't have enough time to do the 2 story missions in time. I've saved the dude and made it to the pharmacy but I can't make it back to the security room in time. I either run out of time or get killed by the convicts in the courtyard.

I'm debating saving the next time I die and starting over with a level 10 character. Maybe that way I can take care of the clown and convicts before 6:00am.

I'm still totally loving this game despite that. The fact that I'm even considering starting over says something because most other games I'd just stop playing.

Yeah, I've started over like three times already to try and get skilled enough to both beat the clown and get the maintenance tunnel key on that first night. It only takes ten or fifteen minutes to get through that first section anyway, and killing zombies doesn't seem to get old. I spent one of my runthroughs trying to kill every single zombie in the entrance plaza before going for the stairs. 'Twas awesome.

How and when do you get the maintenance key? I am at like 4:00pm on the 2nd day and still do not have it.

If there is one game that I should have bought the strategy guide for, this is it!!! I can't wait for IGN to post a walkthrough.

The game is hard as hell, that's for sure. But I am still having a ton of fun with it. That says a lot. I do wish the 'boss' battles were not quite so damn frustrating and difficult though. It would be different if the boss difficulty was this high with a better save system , but as it stands, it is just downright unfair.

I haven't actually gotten the key, but when I was in the maintenance tunnels plowing through zombies in the car, the janitor told me he left his key down there and had no use for it anymore.

So I don't know WHERE, exactly, but I know it's in the Maintenance Tunnels.

If you go into the tunnels and look at the map, there's one tunnel near the center that doesn't lead to an exit. There's a storeroom there where you can find the maintenance key, and even a submachine gun.

That's what happened when i killed the sniper family. I had no projectile weapons but i had the mini chainsaw. They are located in the same place thaty the second carlito battle is. I ran upstairs and kept doing to dive animation to get close to them without being shot. They eventually just ran into a store where they never had a chance to stop and shoot me. The chainsaw made very quick work of them.

The save system is starting to get more annoying. One specific example. WHen you have to carry isabela back to the security room. WHen i first exit the empty store some guy yells "i'm still alive" and shoots me in the back as i'm running to get the hell out of there. Of course, i later found out through a strategy guide that he wasn't trying to kill me as i thought, he was actually aiming at some zombies. So i didn't rescue him and he would have been able to clear our zombies with his shotgun for me. I saved the game back in the security room and now i can't go back to replay that part. All they had to do was give you a few mroe save slots. And i'm not about to buy a $40 memory card just to have an extra save slot.

Still loving this game. I have yet to complete the 72 Hour Mode but I am pretty close. I am just getting to the 11:00am Case File on the last day.

I just love how there are so many different ways to play and experience this game. I have to admit I was struggling a ton with managing different tasks and bosses so I grabbed a strategy guide from my store to use and it actually made the game more fun as I felt more comfortable this first go round. I will then ditch it once I have completed the 72 Hour Mode the first time and go 'free form' on my second run through.

Boy, there is something I have not done in a LONG time…go through a game more than once after finishing it.

The fast pace of the game when trying to do all the Case Files is fairly intimidating and makes it really stressful to try and even attempt half of the rescue missions. But that just adds to the fun IMO.

My only major gripe so far is the AI of the people you try and rescue. Really, really frustrating. And the fact that you cannot tell them to ‘stay’ somewhere…
