AtXj has decided to relinquish his position in the league. Dieselboy will be taking his place. Dieselboy has decided he would rather play with Oregon, so if things work like I hope, I should be able to change teams for him.
Everyone welcome Dieselboy to the league and thank Atjx for participating.
Just wanted to say that, although I am not in the league, I am assuming the top spot after an OT win against the Georgia Bulldogs tonight.
BD - Great game bud, 9-3 OT win doesn't get any better than that. But now that you have seen the Navy triple option, it gets much, much easier to stop it.

LOL - it was bad enough it went to OT, then you won on your first play with freaking NAVY! I have now come back to earth!

fun game
HEY! Don't disrespect my gimmick-offense team...they could challenge for the National Championship some day...
Haven't gotten the stats yet but thought I'd post the recap of Northwestern-Oklahoma (XXXIV).
Coming off a shelacking against top-rated Georgia, the Northwestern Wildcats hosted the second-ranked Oklahoma Sooners and Coach XXXIV. After forcing a three-and-out by Northwestern, the Sooners marched on an 11-play, 76-yard drive for a touchdown. Facing first and goal inside the 10, the Wildcat defense managed to push Oklahoma into a third and goal from the 11, but the Sooners hit an 11-yard out pass to make it 7-0.
Momentum swung back to Northwestern on the next play, as the Wildcats took the kickoff 100 yards for a score. The Northwestern returner broke two tackles and received a timely block on the kicker to break the play open.
However, Oklahoma continued to push the Wildcat defense around for the rest of the half, scoring on another passing touchdown and a field goal to make it 17-7 at halftime. Northwestern's offense failed to generate much momentum against the tough Sooner defense.
Early in the third, after pinning Oklahoma deep with a long punt, Sooner running back Adrian Peterson broke the game open with an 86-yard touchdown run. Peterson juked one defender, slipped a tackle, and ran to daylight for the score and 24-7 lead. He finished with 170+ yards.
Despite being down 17 points, the Wildcat offense picked up, mounting it's best drive of the day and setting up for a short field goal to pull within two scores. But the Sooners squashed Northwestern's hopes and morale with a block, and kept the Wildcats from seriously threatening again for the rest of the game.
(Good game, XXXIV, nice talking to you during the game.)
I think EA is only sending out stats from ranked games now. I get them within seconds when I play a ranked game, but when I play unranked, I never get them.

I'll take the ability to play as many league games and in what order any day over having to wait for some air-head deadbeat to finish his game in the the first 'week' before 'advancing' to the my next game. Any day.

You have Me there....True that....but there has to be a way to get a league and stat set up...The year is 2006...or is it 2007?

Strangely, from the mists of the past, there is one example: NHL Rivals. I'm not sure about the other final iteration XSN sports games, but Rivals had a season format that was awesome. The admin. could decide what roster set to use for the league: default, modified, the latest d/l, etc. And as a user, you could play any game at in any order, and at any time. Yet, the online kept track of stats and standings automatically. The league and tourney functions of that game sit very near the multi-Xbox multiplayer as the two highlight areas in sports gaming I am still waiting to see reborn.
