Ypu don't know what you're missing....

Oh, and Real have announced they've signed Horseface, so Fergie is either

- clueless

- a lying get

- drunk

or fortunate in that he's conned another £5m out of Real.

With Ruud in, the question is: Who's the odd man out? Raul, Robinho, Baptista, Cassano or Ronaldo (my pick).

Raul or Robinho - they are the only two who are safe, because they aren't at least 10 kilos overweight.

Cassano - not worth what they paid for him, and that was nothing.

Ronaldo - past it

If I was chairman, Raul would be gone - but they will never do that to the local boy, so I say..Cassano, you are the weakest link, goodbye.

Adam Boyd has left Hartlepool for Luton. Simo is on suicide watch.

He supports Hartlepool, who were relegated last year.

Ergo, you mean that he remains on suicide watch.

:D

That should draw him out from wherever he has been hiding :D

In other news, the Man Called Horseface has passed his medical at Real (and called it the Biggest Club in the World, to piss Fergie off).

Fergie has celebrated getting rid of his only goalscorer by paying £18m for Michael Carrick, thus confirming that his brain has been well and truly destroyed by alcohol.

If they don't buy anyone else, Man United will not be playing the CL in 2007

I understand the hate for Man U and 18m for Carrick seems way too much for a guy who was playing in the Championship just 2 (3?) seasons ago, BUT "only goalscorer"? Rooney is no Darrius Vassel, but I think he's a considered a pretty decent goalscorer by most. :D

RVN was a fantastic scorer for United and he was a true 'in the box' striker. I think he'll complement Robinho who spends most of his time roaming around the box and Beckham will fly in some crosses his way that will make him top five scorer in Spain. Madrid did get better, but so did Barcelona. M. Carrick is not worth all that money although he's a class act.

If your over 30 and are on the down side of your glittering career go to Real Madrid they have a place for you. :)

Shrek has 27 goals in 2 seasons, which, granted, is more than Darius (although his strike rate might be beaten by our Greek god, Georgie Samaras)...but, and it's a big but....Rooney showed quite clearer at the WC that he is unreliable, and also that he can't play as a lone raider upfront. Of MU's other overpriced striking talent, Saha can't last more than 5 games without getting injured (£12m well spent there) and Smith isn't exactly prolific. Horseface was the only one who could function effectively on his own.

Maybe that's the plan...MU's midfield is so poor that they are going to go 4-3-3 this season....you read it here first :D

I wonder if Fergie's still planning a raid for Jermaine Defoe ?

Which is OK by me, because he's not looked at all interested in playing for Hartlepool United for quite some time, so if we can get some cash for him (anywhere from £500-700k, depending on who you listen to) and Boydie ends up where he wants to be, everyone's a winner.

Funnily enough, being relegated was alright. It's quite a lot like returning home after a few years away.

Good luck to both teams for the new season Hopefully squid's season will be further brightened by the sight of Warnock's Porkers getting a regular battering in the Premiership.

Just hoping Wednesday can survive the early season. One keeper and 12 players in the first squad right now due to injuries.

I'm in better shape than him, and there aren't many footballers I can say that about.

You might be able to get Weaver back on loan, though for some reason he's getting a lot of minutes in the friendlies.

Well, we wanted Carson (Liverpool) back on loan, but the asshat had to go make the WC team.

I didn't mind Weaver although his performances towards the end left some with a bad image.

Oh, I suspect that there will be plenty of battles, home and away. Both Utd and Watford are only equipped for big-boot thugball, so expect plenty of bleating from the respective managers that Premiership refs are too harsh and overly protective of the 'big names'.

Will Arsenal's J.Reyes end up in Real Madrid? How about P.Vieira to Milan?
