Here are a couple I took last week. I can't take any more right now b/c I mailed the roster filled memory card to a friend.

The first one is from Tug O War and it was my first user pick from the snap in this game. Way fun.

Image

This one is from me trying to cheese the CPU on freshman level in bowling. I wanted a 300. After you get your first 6 strikes or so, they start to rush the corners and use the DEs to contain, even on freshman. I never got my 300 :(
The image also lost some quality when I made it a gif. It still looks cool :)

I'm addicted to taking screenshots too bkrich. Here's some from various games with Notre Dame (I know, I know boo hiss!). I posted them at OS too.

How did you get a shot of Touchdown Jesus? I tried and could not get the camera high enough.

I just brought the camera as high as it could go and went to the opposite side of the stadium. Then I started to zoom into TJ until I was happy with the shot.

I might have to go buy a new memory card today just so I can take some more snapshops. :(

BK, I assume you are manualy resizing your images??? Also, are you playing in 720p? Your pics look clearer than mine not sure if the 1080i vs 720p is causing that or the fact that you made yours smaller.

Bill -

After some testing and messing around with your kick slider idea, I have come across a bit of an issue:

This years game has a risk/reward with aiming the kicks at a lower angle. You can add up to 5-7 yards per kick by lowering the angle of the kick, with a hit to accuracy (more slice/hook if you are off center) and a better chance of a block. I took Mason Crosby (Colorado's kicker with 98 power) into the lab and could routinely hit 65 yarders with no wind as long as there was no block.

Not sure if this has an effect on your slider work, just giving you a heads up.

That's a really good point. I meant to mention yesterday that there were no trajectory changes when I was testing. I wonder how much that increases the chance of a block. I know Crosby is an exception in year one of a Dynasty, but by year ten there might be twenty guys with his rating, and that could really unbalance the kicking game. Plus I've never seen any wind in a Dynasty game. Has anyone seen wind or have I just gone crazy (again)?

Anybody else notice that the clock starts running AS SOON as you kick it? That's bad. There is no way to call for a fair catch on the kickoff without time running off the clock anyway. That is some stupid sh*t.

Yup I am resizing them to make them a little easier to view on the forums. Yes playing in 720p, games looks a little nicer at the resolution on my TV.

No problem. I had no idea about the changes myself until after the game came out.

I love that movie.

Did you happen to see the extended "You know how I know you're gay" scene on the DVD's extra features?

The strongest wind I have seen in a game was 1 MPH.

I need to go into practice mode and do some kicking. I had one of my most exciting and legitimate comebacks last night and it came to nothing when I missed a FG. I decided to play a game in my sim dynasty and picked Army - Navy in year 11. Navy was 7-4 and Army was 4-7. I played as Army and fell behind 24-7 in the 4th. I drove and scored and kicked off with 3 minutes left. Stopped Navy on 3 plays (used a TO after each). Got the ball back and scored quickly by surprising them with an option that I went for a long run and took out of bounds and then a pass. I failed on the onside kick but still got the ball back with about 30 seconds left. Got into position for a 43 yard field goal and missed short.

This game is making a great impression...on my plasma screen.

EA's decision to keep the score bar up all the time has caused my first instance of image retention on my TV, after just a couple hours of play. Happened the other night in my Dynasty, happened again tonight after my league game.

It's not a big deal, as it is faint and I got it to fade after some regular TV viewing, but I wish there was a way to turn it off.
