I finally started my dynasty tonight on All American and was up 21-7 at home as Pitt vs Virginia and it all fell apart in the second half as I missed a field goal late in the 3rd quarter then Virginia ends up scoring a late td in the third. They scored a td to tie it in the fourth and end up kicking a game winning field goal as time ran out.

I was playing great on defense with 5 ints and a fumble recovery up until that point and then just completely fell apart. Was still fun and didn't feel like a cheap comeback, I just made some bad calls that got burned for big plays.

I've tried 3 games on heisman and have gotten severely beaten down in each game to the point where I won't be playing at that level for a long while.

I'm not sure if my game was an exception to the rule...it must be because the rest of you are locked into pretty defensive battles.

My first game of my Cane dynasty was epic. Of course it's FSU in the first game of the year again...we trade the lead back and forth for damn near the entire game. I'm up 42-35 with under a min. left when FSU just storms down the field and Booker beats me down the sideline because my corner bit on a play fake (why under 1 min. I'm not sure????). Anyway, I get the ball back with 38 seconds left and I've got it on my 32. A 25 yard out gives me the ball on their side of the field with 18 seconds left. I throw a nice little corner route for a TD with 5 seconds left. Unreal...I don't think I've ever had a better pair of throws in a football game. I thought for sure we were going to OVERTIME.

Anyway...I'm gonna start playing a game or two tonight...to see if that first game was just a fluke. I threw for 350 and ran for another 200...waaaaay too many yards against a good FSU defense. They didn't have much trouble moving the ball against me either (I think they had over 400 yds.). I'd rather play a defensive game...but after one game...that didn't happen. We'll see I guess.

Correction, I'm now 3-1 as I beat Ohio at home 17-6. That's two games in a row I've held the CPU opponent under 10 points after my defense stinking it up the first two games of the season. We'll see what happens once Big 12 play starts.

There are some weird glitches here and there with player movement, but right now the game is fun to play and well, isn't that what it's all about? I've seen some really good tackling animations and wonder what they'll add for next year.

I also had my first punt bounce backwards and stop on the 5 yard line.

I just played Kentucky at their place and I saw their mascot walking on his hands behind the endzone.... pretty funny looking.

Don't feel bad. I lost to UF 34-21 after leading 21-13 in the 3rd. It felt so much like a real cocktail party. Georgia did everything in their power to lose the game late and like always the Florida fans had alot of fun.

I suck at this game.

I just started the second season of my Illinois dynasty, bumping the difficulty up to Heisman. Started the season against Missouri which I handled fairly easily. I customized my schedule so up next was #1 Nebraska at their place, with Nebraska coming off a National championship in the 1st season against us, so I scheduled this game looking for revenge. It was real nailbiter that the Illini pulled out a victory with 13 seconds left on a cross pattern in the endzone to Heisman candidate WR D. McPhearson to win 42-35. nebraska was up from most of the 1st half until I got the momentum going my way early in the 3rd quarter.

After this hard fought road win against the #1 team in the country, to get said revenge, we take the week off and apparently are feeling really good about ourselves, that we then get our asses handed to us at home against unranked Michigan State 49-25. This was our first regular season lost, and only our 2nd loss in our dynasty. the first coming in the national championship game against Nebraska.

I played my first online game last night and was welcomed back to the world of pick up game cheese...No voice and crazy play calls.

The dude has a 4th and 25 on his own 10? in a 14-14 game and goes for it. I was happy he was except for the to I wasted. Lady lucky does smile on the stupid as idiot throws an incomplete pass but I get flagged for roughing the passer.

The sad part is he could have beaten me easily without the cheese as he did thump Me 50-35( He liked going for 2) an was up 50-21 at one point.
He had Ohio State to my Oklahoma and I had no answer for the scrambling qb.

I haven't played online with this game yet, but, on previous versions, didn't EA put mandatory punt in 4th down situations. I guess that didn't carry over to this title.

Was it a ranked game? I think fair play rules only applied to ranked games last year. I don't know for sure.

BTW Zep & GW did you get your cards yet?

Quick question for those who have been through an "In Season" recruiting period. I've just finished my second one and have yet to yield a single player from it. Is there a method to how the points are alloted? I basically spread them fairly evenly with the areas of need getting a few more, then as the season progresses shift them around based on a kids interest, but that doesn't seem to work at all. Hell i had 7 kids from the state of Michigan on my list and none of THEM even came to Ann Arbor. Help.

Are you inviting them for a visit? after they dwindle down to 3 schools, if you are one of the schools you can then invite them to a home game. but basically I do the same, spread out the points evenly, and as guys drop off I'll give more points to guys who have the most interest. Also, I turn my assistant coach recruiting on also.

Question for you Mizzou dynasty guys.....

I started mine last night, but instead of leaving the first 4 non-conf. games on default, I beefed up my strength of schedule a bit and added Notre Dame and Ohio State. :D I also took out the AA team for week 1 and put Tulsa in there.

Week 1, playing on default everything, AA, I was up 42-0 at the half and reset everything as I thought it was far to easy to scramble and run on default AA settings. Question, before I start up this dynasty again, can we edit slider settings and still have achievements count? I don't want to shoot for these dynasty achievements after getting tweaked sliders only to find out that they won't unlock if I'm not playing on the easier default settings.

Wow you're good! ;)

Is there an easy way to scramble in the game? Chase is slow as molasses when I try to run as him.

I want to say, yes - I think achivements are counting with slider settings changed... I've only played one game with these new settings, but I think I remember something saying, "achievement unlocked".

Hmm, seems fast enough to me. If I don't see anything open within 2-3 seconds, I've been hitting the sprint (left trigger) to roll out, and then if it's man to man with noone sitting in zone coverage in the flat, it's an easy 1st down. That's where I'm wanting to give the AI some slider help. On default AA and 5min, it seems to easy (at least in my experience so far).

I'll probably tinker with the sliders and restart my Mizzou dynasty, but in the meantime take Texas and start a new one and just blow through the season with the intent of trying to get all of the single season dynasty acheivements knocked out.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but pipeline state seem to have to do with where your players come from. So I think if you have a strong recruiting class from a non-pipeline state, it may become a pipeline state next season.

There is no manual...I think you have to pay EA extra for it.
