is that true?
It's true in the demo but I don't know about the final release. I'm not about to sift through that long impressions thread at OS to find out. The camera angle didn't bother me at all though so I'm not worried about that. The demo didn't let you change any options or even see what the options were so that doesn't mean it's not in the full version.
Aholbert, and Dookiemowf, and another poster have the actual game, not the demo...and they are saying there is only one camera angle.

I thought you got rid of your 360 Tim?

One thing that is bothersome with the 360 EA Sports titles is that the controls feel sluggish. I don't know if that's because of the controller or the game. Madden had a horrible feel. I felt disconnected with the controls. NCAA has a similar feel.

that's probably b/c of the poor frame rates and the canned animations. Rather than make a game that is butter smooth like NBA 2k6, EA is choosing graphix first in next gen (playability last). It's just lazy EA at its best not spending the time to optimize for next gen.

I agree. It's like everyone is weightless. Or that I don't feel grounded... hard to explain. However, in this demo it just seems like I'm not in control of what's going on.

I did but my plan was always to pick one up for the 2007 sports games starting with NCAA. Now I'll wait and maybe pick one up to get Madden or NHL. I was hoping that NCAA would sell me on the system again but after playing the demo, that's not going to be the case.

Ya I agree with the weightlessness of the game.

But I feel I have more control in the game than NCAA on the old box. I am loving the demo.

I have the full version, and I can confirm only one camera angle.

Also, I don't feel the weightlessness. A DT hits a RB, the RB isn't falling forward. On the other hand, I have run through a few DB's already.

What were they thinking with only one camera angle?

Millennium - how did you get so lucky to get a copy?

How is everyone going to be getting their named rosters (the 360 version)?

The camera angle is very playable in the NCAA demo IMO. Madden's full retail version camera angle blew big big chunks! In the end, that's what turned me off of Madden.

Millennium,

Can you post any thoughts as compared to the demo? What I've seen in gameplay videos has looked great, but as some have mentioned the demo looked somewhat choppy at times.

Honestly, if you don’t have a 360 at this point, I would lean toward just waiting until spring and see what shakes out with the 360/PS3 wars. If NCAA doesn’t blow you away, I don’t imagine that Madden will either. Right now we have EA stretched thin by coding for both current gen and next gen and we have 2K going through all kinds of legal and financial problems. Not a good environment for a system selling sports game. But spring will bring new the baseball games on both systems and that will be interesting to see.

I don’t think any sports game is going to blow us away for a while. But I am looking forward to both NCAA and Madden on the 360. It will be an interesting week next week to see what people think of all the versions. I think we need threads for 360, PSP and for XBOX/PS2.

Of all the things I have read on OS about the NCAA game, the most disconcerting to me was that in one simmed 360 dynasty, Duke finished year 1 in the top 25 with a 10-2 record. That makes me question the sim engine – and while gameplay is most important, a good sim engine is vital for a good dynasty mode.

Fairdale Kings is doing rosters. I'm sure they'll be posted at his site and also at OS.

i'd agree if not for the fact that this will be Madden's 2nd go around on the 360. Their first attempt wasn't nearly as bad as it was made out to be. I recently got it from gamefly and thought it was ok. Much better than the demo they have up on marketplace.

nope, he's never done that. That would be that DTLindner guy who steals his FK's and others' rosters and sells them as his own. FK has the game now and said the rosters would be finished on the 18th.

Lindner doesn't charge for his either. Man it's funny how serious these "roster" wars get. Who really cares?

This is kind of a funny story. So I went into the target in south elgin, IL this morning to get a prescription filled and while i was waiting wandered by the video games. There was NCAA, about 20 of them for the 360, also psp and PS2 on the shelves.

I ask the guy if i can buy one and he gets it out, rings it up and it comes up. "Can't sell product has been recalled from manufacturer" He says he is not sure what that means and me lying my ass of go, "well that can't be right my friend bought one yesterday"

So his manager comes up, sees the message and calls a supervisor. he says "not sure why these are recalled we just got them, why don't you try the EB over there" That happens to be the EB I have my pre-order at and i say "I did they are all sold out"

Now the supervisor comes over, he says "sorry we can't seel these they are recalled" I told him i would buy it anyway and take a chance. He was like "sorry sir i can't" and the has the guys pull all the copies (for all the systems) off the shelf.

Oh well it was amusing.

He may not charge, but he steals and that has been proven. I think you would be pissed if you took the time to edit all those teams and then someone steals your work and passes it off as their own. Dude accepts donations from people for work THAT HE DOESN'T DO. I know each one of us had taken the time to edit a few teams. It's tedious. I'd be pissed too if someone did that to me. The guys don't ask for any money, all the want is the recognition for their work. I'm glad that we have a couple guys in the gaming community that are willing to take the time to do this for US.

Some good news from Millennium posting over at OS:
When you use hurry up offense, you get to the line with :20 left on the play clock. It's not competely immediate like the demo.
As for Linder/Rosters - Blacklover had his stolen a few years back. He had made 1 or 2 changes to mark his rosters (ie equipment changes to third string player) just so he could know if they were stolen and sure enough Linder's had the same changes.

Yeah, Blacklover is the other I was referring too. FK also has a mark in his that he uses and when he downloaded Linder's file, there it was.

Is there an AR version for the 360 yet? If not, what would be the way to transfer the rosters to the game?

Here's a link:
http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802323

You need a memory card, too, so rosters will add about $50-60 to play with real names.
