Ok--its out.....according to those at operation sports. I was thinking of making the next gen jump with the release of the new football titles but of course I await your impressions.

Ok boys--start downloading and lets hear it.....

Of course there are those at OS who hate the demo. One guy said he is cancelling his preorder.

This game is going to own me based on the demo. There is a lil bit of a framerate issue as the game opens to show the stadium. I like the running game. Mario Running is still there but it's not as bad. The offensive line is solid. The passing game is solid. I see some new animations that look nice.

I like the new player models. They look nothing like Madden's player models on 360 and that is a good thing.

The only problem I see in the demo is the post corner route. I was able to complete those passes just about every time.

I'm going to take the demo for what it is. I expect it to be more polished in the retail version. EA probably just wanted to show the graphics with this demo. I know someone with the retail 360 version. I'm going to see if he'll download the demo and compare it to the final version.

Can't wait til Tuesday.

Perhaps, but there's already a discussion made up of more than three posts on the game. What's tiring is having to click on two different threads to read the exact same thing.

I played it at a buddy's house tonight. 1 minute quarters is all you get in the demo. I was thinking that NCAA 07 would be the game that makes me run back out and repurchase the 360 but after playing the demo tonight that won't be the case. I'll be picking up the regular old Xbox version instead, hoping that Madden or NHL 07 will be the game that will make me want to buy the 360 again. I was planning on picking up the 360 this weekend but it looks like i'll be holding off for at least another month, possibly even longer.

I only played one game last night, but I can't see many NFL2k fans/Tiburon haters (me) being blown away by this game. I still don't see how they can say they built these next gen football games from the ground up. Hopefully my early impressions are way off.

i liked it and i didn't like madden.

i do think the CBs need some help. i could go long pretty easily just because the CBs wouldn't step in front of the throw.

i liked it very much though.

Our Dan wouldn't be caught dead in a Cards hat. ;) He does love The Uno, though.

Hard to tell much from a demo. But I did not have that many issues with it - other than the usual negatives that come with a first generation game that lacks features found in the current gen. But I just can't see going back to the current gen - unless the game has really been updated from the last few years. I like the fact that special teams now have blocks - a feature that has been missing for far too long. I am ready for Tuesday - I have sold all of my 360 games except for college hoops and oblivion, so I am ready for something new.

Could you guys change the difficulty level?

I've heard the game plays well on Heisman (ps2), so wondered if you could play the demo on that level?

Thanks!

Thanks Sudz.

Wonder if it was like the MLB demo where it was on the easiest level?

I posted this over at OS, but I thought I might post it here. I know a lot of you guys are dynasty players and time of possession and clock management are important issues.

You and I seem to be the only people that even care about this, but this is a huge deal for me. If this is the way the full game is, then who needs timeouts? Try this out and you'll see what I mean. Call a play, but look at the play clock when you call it. Let's just say when you call your play, the play clock says :20. Now, as soon as your team breaks the huddle, press the A button...BOOM, you are instantly at the line of scrimmage and only 1 second has elapsed. You can literally call a new play and get it off quicker than holding down the Y button and trying to no huddle. Same thing for the CPU. If you press the A button as they break the huddle, they are instantly at the line and no time has ran off the clock. Of course, you can't make them snap the ball, but still this is absolutely awful. It will completely ruin any kind of time of possession stats and who knows what quarter length you will need to play in order to get decent game stats.

If this is the same in the full version, then I'm definitely going to get the Xbox version.

Am I missing something, or could you not press the A button and just let the line up animation take place? Granted, this could be an issue online, but doesn't seem like a big deal.

Wow, you are just full of solutions, aren't you? Next thing you know you will be telling me the solution for money plays is to not use them. It's the fact that it's there period. Even in Madden with the accelerated clock, you still had to wait for the team to get to the line of scrimmage and the clock was running.

Do you not see what kind of havoc this creates with time of possession and game stats? Hell with online, this directly affects how your dynasty plays out. How would you like to be playing in your conference championship game and if you win you go the BCS championship game, but you get beat because the CPU went 80 yards in 26 seconds with no timeouts? This is the kind of crap that happens.

Anticipation of NCAA always makes people flip out. It's like a universal "I'm insane" button every year during July.
