Haha...says the guy who's been the most vocal of the whiny Mavs fans.
This from the guy who interrupted an RIP thread about an umpire to complain about balls and strikes.

The Heat did what they needed to do -- let Wade control the offensive flow while getting support from Shaq and company. It doesn't help that the Mavs got next to nothing out of Lasagna Diop and Eric Dampier. Jason Terry pulled a John Starks to seal the deal last night.

But I have to agree with Bill Simmons on this one -- I'm disappointed the Heat won, because Pat Riley has done more to make basketball unentertaining than any coach of the last 30 years. I was happy to see the league going back to the Mavs/Suns route (hell, even the Clippers were fun to watch), and hope it doesn't swing back to iso one-on-one maul ball.

Wade is young but this is the only great young player the Heat have and he is not on the level of Kobe Bryant, Lebron, or Jordan. The Miami Heat will be rebuilding in the not too distant future.
I disagree. All this proves that that like Jordan, all Wade will need is decent players around him. Shaq is old, but he wasn't a factor in the series. Zo did give them good defense but the Wade and those few role players did well. They should be good for a while as long as build around Wade.

I disagree with your disagreement :) Wade was good, very very very good. But then again, Mavs have to double team Shaq every time so Wade can roam around and free lance. If Shaq is gone, they can double team Wade and we will see how good he really is. Don't get me wrong, Wade deserves to be the MVP and is the man in the playoffs. But don't discount Shaq even if his stats blow.... the other team have to concentrate on him.

Jordan had Cartright and some white dude in the middle for those 6 rings.... I am not sure if Wade can replicate that!

He also had another NBA All-Time player on his team - don't discount that

Of course, I love Pippen. Same way I love McHale.

Last year when Shaq was injured in the playoffs, the Pistons shut Wade down. Wade is a good player but not as good as Kobe Bryant or Jordan.

LOL. People always forget that the Bulls won 55 games in the regular season and were one win away from the Eastern Conference finals with Pippen and no Jordan in 1994.

And were on the business end of one of the worst calls in NBA history!

He was also injured last year and the same thing happened to Kobe those last two seasons in LA when Shaq was a much better player. I'm not saying a person can't have that opinion but I don't think he's demonstrated so far that he isn't in the same league as Kobe or Lebron. In fact some would make the case he's better because he knows his limitations and takes fewer jumpers and attacks the rim more often.

He for sure isn't in the same league as Kobe because Wade's #1 goal in the game is to win. If it means making shots or dishing it out for others to contribute, he will do it. He isn't a selfish little prick like Kobe.

No kidding. My wife and I watched the game with friends and we were all pulling for the Knicks big time but we all agreed that the fix must have been in on that one.

BTW, Larry Brown was fired and will be replaced by Thomas. No big shock there.

Sounds like it's only a three year deal. If they don't upgrade the team by then he's probably gone.

Do you guys want to know what the best damn connection is? Well, as mentioned before in this thread (no idea how far back), but my mom went to work for Robert Sarver (his personal secretary). Well, she's been there for a few months and she's bored out of her mind. I thought my connection was going to be gone for good when she said she was going to talk to him about not having enough work to do. Well...turns out she quit. She starts a new job Monday. Now she is going to be working directly for Mike D'Antoni (Head Coach and GM) and the rest of the Suns front office and coaching staff. HOLY F'ING CRAP!

Too bad I live in LA...I need to move back to Phoenix pronto. That connection is even better than working for the owner. LOL.
