Definitely check out the Arlong23Garlon DB. Those two guys are throwing blood sweat and tears into adapting the Lehman database into something that ports with as few hiccups as possible into OOTP 2006. I haven't messed with it a lot, personally, just yet. But the readme on their homepage http://home.comcast.net/~brucec23/OOTP/index.html speaks for itself.
