I can make it Friday and I'm not usually so sensitive, I'm having a shitty day. My apology for over reacting.Leebo33 wrote: Well, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were so sensitive. I thought the two smiley faces would indicate tone. I was just poking a little fun because I can't possibly understand how you don't know I am one of your opponents based on our correspondence.
I sent you a PM, I offered in this thread to play you any night on the week of May 22nd based on your post on the 21st, I sent you an invite on a night you said "I will probably be on tonight if I can get my wife to watch idol on another TV." I'm seriously not pissed or upset (refer to above smileys). If you are there at 9:30 CT on Friday I'll play you and have fun and if you aren't online then I'll take the loss or 0-0 tie....whatever Zeppo decides. It's really no big deal.

Match Report
Newcastle United 1 Monaco 0
SOG 22, 14
Tar 15, 9
FK 4, 13
Corners 6, 5
Offside 4, 0
Possession 48, 52
Scoring: Ameobi 71'
Newcastle United pulled out a narrow victory over Monaco in a hard-fought battle which featured plenty of chances for both sides. Newcastle came roaring out of the gates, generating 15 shots on goal in the first half alone. Neither their luck nor their finishing was up to the task however, as Shearer saw two efforts hit the woodwork and all of the forwards missed quality scoring chances. Monaco returned the favor in the second half, carrying the play but unable to convert. Newcastle finally broke through in the 72nd minute with Ameobi pouncing on a loose ball and driving it past a diving Monaco keeper.
Great game, Jared. Hard to have a game with 36 SOG and only one goal but we managed

Shevchenko had a beautiful night scoring 4 goals as AC Milan closed their season with a 5-2 win at Highbury. Milan controlled the flow of the game as their attackers made several runs past the staight-line Arsenal defense. Henry had a goal, but he should have had two others and Reyes missed an open net from 10 yards away.

Hey, Bergkamp hit a beatiful free kick to give me that second goal. It was a sick goal.fsquid wrote:Aresnal 2 - AC Milan 5

You are correct, Bergkamp hit a nice 25 yarder into the upper right corner. Dida got a piece of it, but it wasn't enough. I think you changed kickers on that one too.Zlax45 wrote:Hey, Bergkamp hit a beatiful free kick to give me that second goal. It was a sick goal.fsquid wrote:Aresnal 2 - AC Milan 5

Guys, once again, since I will be heading out of the country a week from Satruday, I want to get everything set up for the first half of Season Three before I leave. That means that I will be finalizing the standings on Monday AM at the LATEST. Games that have not reported will be considered forfeit, and I will award 3-0 to some games, 0-0 to others depending on the particular matchup.
Please get your games reported into the module by the end of Sunday, or you may lose out. Right now Chelsea (Sully) and Liverpool (jimmy) haven't played or posted in a long time, so they are in danger of 3-0 forfeit losses for all unplayed games. Real Madrid (danimal) has only played one game all season. Middlesbrough (Naples) and Monaco (Jared) are behind, but I think they will catch up in the next couple of days.
Tuesday will be the first round of team-selection for those who want to change teams. Let me know by Monday if you want to go into the team selection process. I don't think we will have time to attract newcomers this time around, and it looks like we are going to loose three or four participants, which means the divisions will be appropriately adjusted. I hope to get the schedule up by Thursday.

I'm playing two more games tonight against Leebo.
I need to play NYIsles16 twice and Zlax45 twice. I'll be online from 9:30CSt tonight for 2 games with leebo, but can play either of the other guys afterwards.

Fenerbahce Finally Win In Final Season Game
Fenrbahce finally earned their first win of the season, a 1-0 defeat of visitors VfL Wolfsburg, in the final game of the season. Marcio (Marmea) tucked away the goal in the first half from a spot deep into the penalty area after a nice bit of combination passing sliced open the Wolfsburg defense. Despite many chances, Woflsburg were unable to beat mighty Rustu (Risko) who stood on his head to keep Fenercahce in the game. There were no bookings, and no injuries.
Fenerbahce and I have been relegated into the Second Division of the DSP WE League. It is likely the Turkish team will be abandoned and that I will enter the team selection process which will start on Monday or Tuesday.

Hey guys. Just wanted to apologize to the guys in the p'ship. I have been trying to get my games in, but I have rarely been at home and will be moving to a new place for the summer today, which will put me out of home internet access indefinitely (hopefully just a for a few days, but I can't be sure).
If anyone wants to play, I'll be on xbox live and AIM the next few hours. If I don't catch you today, I'll just take forfeits for my remaining games. Sorry guys.

OK gang, that's it, it's over. Due to the time constraints I have, the Second Season is done, forfeits and nil-nil draws have been awarded to finish off the schedule, and the results are in.
Bubbaball wins promotion with his powerful Juventus side and will join the 6-team DSPremiership next season. Zeppo (that's me) has been relegated and will enter the team selection process.
It looks like we have lost a few participants, so we will probably go back to a 2-Division setup. There is a chance the Second Division could have more players than the 1st, but still not enough to split into two lower divivions.
Team selection will begin tomorrow with the first team draw (maybe tonight if everyone responds in time). So far, this is what I have:
So far the only guys I know who are changing teams are myself and Atxj. We would both be drawing from the large, Second Tier of teams, as would anyone else from the top division who wants to change teams.
Those in the DSPenultimate, the second division, would be drawing from the small group of Top Tier teams (there are only 15 teams in that elite group) should they wish to change teams. Or they could, like me, choose to draw from the weaker Second Tier teams.
Jimmy and Sully have not posted since the first half of the season, and haven't played any second half games, so I am for now assuming that they are out for Season Three, along with Zlax and db. They can return for Season Four, along with any newcomers who want to join, but for Season Three I need to know tonight if they are in (early AM Tuesday at the latest) so that I can get the team selection ball rolling and the organizational setup over to Jason. I am hoping to get the schedule up Thursday night.

Folks, I'm sorry. I just won't be able to get everything ready for Season Three before this weekend.
Therefore, I think we should take a break from the league for a few weeks in June. I hope to get back to the team selection the week of the 25th so that we can start playing games the week of July 2nd.
I think some kind of international tourney would be a great idea in the mean time, if anyone wants to put that together.
