As member number 00000001 in the ABU ('Anyone But United') organisation, I would like to formally welcome Mr Shevchenko to the Premiership, and look forward to seeing him and Mr M Ballack strut their stuff next season.
Abramovich doesn't give a monkeys how much Sheva cost - don't forget, this is the bloke who got a bonus of something like £5.4 BILLION in 2004.
So he's not short of a few quid, then.

As a fan of the Rossoneri, I don't like this at all. I know damn near everyone on Milan is 29 & up and it was time to go younger, but I didn't want Sheva to go.
Gilardino is a good, young striker but he's not on Andriy's planet yet. Super Pippo is up there in age, plus he is not the creative player Sheva is. He's a pure "feed me the ball and I'll slam it in" striker.
So now, along with getting youthful bodies in the midfield and the defensive backs...now Milan has to add a striker or two. Maybe they can somehow pluck a Tevez or somebody. Tevez would be good because he is kinda like Sheva. He can create his own space and his own scoring oppurtunities. I'm doubting they could shake Toni from Fiorentina or Imbrahimovic.

AC will be better off next year, particularly if the unlikely happens and Juventus are deservedly relegated to Serie B. It is rumoured over here that AC will use the cash from Shevchenko to finance a bid for Steven Gerrard.
I must admit to preferring Inter over AC, partly because I couldn't being myself to support anything controlled by that corrupt toad Silvio Berlusconi.

Italy is all corrupt. There have been rumors for years and examples whenever someone wanted to dig a little. it's just coming more to the open now.
I like the Premier League getting world class players from other countries b/c that's the league I follow.
The month after the world cup is always exciting to see what teams grab the new stars.
The finest signing in the premiership. He's only 29 and at the peak of his career. With Abramovich trying to bring R. Carlos to the team, the fight for second best has begun. I am just curious what about the likes of S.Wright-Phillips, M. Essien, A. Robben, D. Duff, D. Drogba and H. Crespo, 200+ million in reserve talent for the team. Who will go?
