I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

Waitaminute, what is the Chicago thing, exactly? Saying you win a Bozo button, or actually winning a Bozo button? People are actually walking around with buttons over there? That's almost as crazy as calling that thick slab of bread a pizza!ScoopBrady wrote:That's exactly what I meant. Never took it as you calling me Bozo. I was just hoping someone would catch my Seinfeld reference in the reply.ScoopBrady wrote:That's exactly what I meant. If the Devils were up 3-0, I would fully expect you guys to be talkin smack as well, in fact I would require it! It's all good fun and if anybody is taking these things personally, then they shouldn't be posting on any internet forum.

Agree. Jim is the voice of the Canucks for Sportnest Network in Canada, and the guy makes the game exciting even when you have a dull one out there. I think in EA games, they make him say things over and over, there's not much vocabulary like in the MLB game, and not much digging of the game like they do in real life.pk500 wrote: Finally, it was a joy to hear Jim Hughson and Greg Millen call the game. They have become my favorite hockey announcing tandem this year. Kind of ironic, considering I HATE Hughson's work in the EA NHL game series!
Take care,

R. Emery is the least of the SENS' current woes. Although the team finally started to wake up in the third period of this series yesterday, they have been playing with a lack of intensity and lack of urgency that it's incomprehensible. The D is soft like Jello and BUFF doens't really have big forwards except M. Grier. Chara with his 6'9 should sweep all Sabres forwards by himself, yet he's been playing the puck like a hot potato.
Credit goes to L. Ruff, he kept the team with a competitive edge throughout the season and during the playoffs and that's difficult to do. He's outcoaching B. Murray and players love him. Coach of the year IMO. I still think the series is not over yet by any means, but OTT needs to be more aggressive and decisive, and so far they are playing like they don't know what it's at stake. I believe their time is NOW, they have a lot of free agents and they won't have such a great team for awhile. You could see GM J. Muckler biting his nails...Of course Hasek on the injured side doens't help, but if it wasn't for R. Emery, BUFF could have scored a few more goals.

To no one's surprise P. Maurice becomes the new head coach of the Maple Leafs.
Finally OTT played with that intensity and urgency that I thought they lacked the first 3 games and the Sabres had to put the brooms away.
Not so for ANA, that just outplayed COL and apparently found their next jiggy in Bryzgalov. They are hot!

They would be better than Colorado-Carolina or San Jose-Carolina. At least Anaheim is in the second-largest TV market in the U.S., even if no one there gives a f*ck. You figure there might be a few bandwagon riders.Sudz wrote:wtf? happened in colorado?
imagine the ratings of an anaheim v carolina series....
negative numbers.

All you gotta do is watch the local news and you'd know that no one gives a crap about the Ducks in Los Angeles. They don't even lead the sports section of the news...NBA Playoffs, then the Dodgers and Angels...then they get to the NHL. No one cares about the Ducks. If it were the Kings, it would be a different story. It doesn't seem like the Ducks get the bandwagon love like the Clippers now or the Angels a few years ago. The town will always be a Kings, Lakers and Dodgers town for the most part anyway.pk500 wrote:They would be better than Colorado-Carolina or San Jose-Carolina.
