I thought it was good. The graphics won't blow you away, but it looks a shade better than the Xbox version. I hadn't played a Moto GP game in quite some time so I was all over the place. The control just didn't feel as tight as I was used to, but that could be me.sportdan30 wrote:Still downloading? Any initial impressions yet?Badgun wrote:Moto GP 06 demo is up now. Almost 900 mb. Looks like it will playable online as well. Downloading it now.
Played a couple of online races and they were silky smooth with no lag at all.

Yeah, not sure what TV you are playing on, but MotoGP 06's graphics are un-freaking-believable! The game looks photorealistic to me. In fact, I'm going to pop in the Xbox version after dinner tonight, then compare it to the 360 demo. The HDR lighting Climax used is incredible.Badgun wrote: I thought it was good. I have a 50" Sony LCD and it just doesn't look as good as Call of Duty 2, NBA 2K6, or even Ghost Recon for that matter. Don't get me wrong, it looks better than the Xbox version but it's not earthshattering.AcemanPR wrote:Yeah, not sure what TV you are playing on, but MotoGP 06's graphics are un-freaking-believable! I agree. I was completely unimpressed with this tile. Especially the graphics. The car models looked like a PS1 game to me (well, not quite that dated, but close).Badgun wrote:You guys must be playing a different Test Drive than me, I thought the demo was awful. I thought the framerate was terrible and the graphics were nothing like I had seen in some of the movies they released 6 months ago.
I thought the cars handled very sluggishly not to mention that if you do one of the timed challenges, they have traffic stopped everywhere. I just thought it was pretty stupid to be doing a timed challenge and have the female say "turn right" and then you're behind 4 cars at a stoplight.
I just came away very unimpressed since this was a game I had really been looking forward to. Hopefully, it will improve before they release it.
I thought the overall look, feel, control and presentation were 1st gen X-Box. The concept is REALLY cool, but the execution seems very tired.

Last night after finally getting UNO to download and playing a couple of games my 360 froze while browsing the leader boards on it, the same thing happened to me in the Test Drive demo while just driving around in it and I read that others were having freeze issues with that demo but haven't seen anything about others having problems with UNO freezing up the system, has this happened to anyone else or is this something I should be worried about?

Nope, not just you. I'm not impressed with it either (@720p on my 50" DLP Panasonic), it actually looks very much like MotoGP2/3 on the Xbox (both of which I owned, as well as the original, all three of which looked great for Xbox games in 16:9 and 480p).Badgun wrote:I have a 50" Sony LCD and it just doesn't look as good as Call of Duty 2, NBA 2K6, or even Ghost Recon for that matter. The draw distance seemed a little bit better, but it's certainly not "next gen" looking like GRAW, NBA 2k6, etc... I didn't have any lag, but did see some slowdown (not lag, graphical choppiness) in a couple of corners. Controls are tight, and I really like being able to use the bumper buttons to shift (I used to use the sticks on the old games, pressing them down to shift). It's probably an early build though (crashes if you try and check friend's times) so maybe the retail version will look a little better.

....a demo of a game that's not coming out until 2/2007. It should be much much better by then.10spro wrote:Just played Lost Planet. I think it should be renamed: "Cold Fear". I wished I could change the character to a 1st person , nothing too innovative in the demo, cool graphics it's a title I wish I could see more options to play with, but then again it's just a demo.

I'm one of those people who make EXTENSIVE use of the feedback/rep system on the 360...if someone gets out of hand, I bring up the guide, mute them, avoid them and file the appropriate negative feedback.sportdan30 wrote:Seriously, what's with people online? Twice in two days, I've encountered prejudice and racist remarks. It's frickin UNO. F'n A**HOLES!
Also, if it gets to be too bad, you can go into your settings and set it to mute anyone who is NOT on your friends list. This is most useful in bigger games, but at least you don't have hear the random ahole.
