It isnt about the scoring...its the mind set...We have no patience for anything that isnt from here...and a very bad case of self importance...
Wow, just as BUFF thought that the game may be going to OT with a great T. Connolly move, OTT answers right back. What a game, a bit sloppy but entertaining for fans.

Sorry...back to a great game...
Interesting observation. This game rocks...

These teams should play OT without a goalie. It appears they played the last 2 minutes without one.
This is the United States baby....
Complain about the lack of scoring ...then...complain about too much scoring....

God Bless America
Actually, I'm complaining about the lack of defense and the poor goaltending. How do you give up a shorthanded 2 on 1 with 90 seconds left? It's unacceptable. I don't recall who the defenseman was, but you're playing 5 on 4 with the lead, there's no need to pinch in that situation.
Then, the last goal. Emery had it right at the side of the net, but chose not to sweep it away. It comes out in front, between a defenseman's legs, and Connolly shelves it.
Ottawa collapsed in the last 2 minutes. I hope Buffalo makes them pay for it.

Yet another ex-Hawk who I miss. Is there any wonder why I can find a ex-Hawk I miss on many of the playoff teams and the Hawks failed to make the playoffs again this year?
As for the Sens/Sabres game it wouldn't surprise me if it was the quickest overtime game ever.
If this is the type of series it's going to be it will be a very entertaining one but the winner of it will have major problems hoisting the cup without a defense. Go Devils!
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
Well, it might not have been the quickest overtime ever but 18 seconds is about what I expected. If this isn't a fluke game these teams are in a lot of trouble.

It was Andre Meszaros that got caught, he had a terrible game, I think he was on the ice on at least four of the seven goals. Well, the way R. Emery played tonight, SENS fans can't wait for Hasek to get back soon enough.
What a game!!! It was just beautiful for long stretches, although even as a lover of the flowing game, that ending made me cringe--a lot of that wasn't great plays, but bad hockey.
I thought the Sens played very well and definitely should've won, but give the Sabres credit for never letting the Sens get out of touch. I am still shaking my head from that OT turnover and moronic pinch on that late PP......unbelievably stupid. If Ottawa keeps up that crap then they deserve to lose this thing.

I share the same opinion. The first 58 minutes was great for TV hockey, but those last 2 minutes...
That was poorly played hockey on Ottawa's part. Good teams make you pay.
A. Meszaros is a rookie, and he played rather well during the regular season. Well enough that coach B. Murray doesn't hesitate to put him in tough scenarios. But he played poor tonight and his mental approach to the game tonight was of a typical rookie and the SENS payed for it. W. Redden was weak too, not to mention R. Emery.
With 20 seconds to go or so, D. Alfredsson was hugging the puck trying to kill some seconds off, but there was one guy "wide open" (he probably missed him) for an open net and it's all over. Then Emery can't even secure a puck that was right in front of him and they tie the game. He wasn't sharp, he wouldn't stop a beach ball tonight.
ANA is flying high led by T Selanne. COl looks like the PHI defense tonight, no emotion, and slow. Theodore is soft and the Ducks are playing good hockey. A confident bunch.
