Very stupid play by Bell. Put his team at jeopardy this game and next.

But it wouldn't be surprising if he was pissed that a few minutes earlier, Kobe elbowed him in the face and they called the foul on him.

Kobe had the elbow of his off hand slightly out so maybe Bell figured he better get his money's worth rather than get another cheap or ridiculous foul.

Yeah, the only thing the Suns have going for them in the Bell situation is exactly what you said Wco, and what Nash said about Kwame standing over Diaw after an elbow.

Suns showed some heart at least. First time in the series.

Tough loss by the Bulls. They had a great chance to put the screws on Miami and blew it. The whole game changed right after Shaq hit the alley-oop on the pass from Wade. Gordon and Hinrich were just terrible, and even Michael Sweetney playing like his dinner was on the line didn't help that much. Plus if the Bulls win Thursday, it will lead to another night of seeing all the Miami Heat fans wearing white. Lamest. Idea. Evar!

Regardless of who wins, the Heat look pretty shaky.

What's the likelihood that Kobe's going around telling women his name is Kwame Brown?

Bell suspended one game...thus ending the Suns season. Damn...was hoping for a crotch grabbing 10,000 fine instead of the suspension but it was definitely warranted.

Funny how Bell just hates Kobe because hes and arrogant ass. Kinda the same way most people that aren't Laker fans feel about Kobe. Sure, he's the best player in the league, but he's a d*uche at best. Apparently it's rubbing off on Kwame and the USC football team as well.

Impressive drive on the baseline by Lebron to win the game tonight. I couldn't believe that he didn't just take the shot as soon as he got the ball, how did he manage to stay in bounds and score before time ran out?

Thanks to Directv for adding TNT HD to the lineup recently. I've never really been an NBA fan in the past, but having multiple playoff games in HD every night has me hooked to channel 75. I'm really enjoying this series and the Suns-Lakers series, I can't wait for game 6 tomorrow night. I'm starting to wish I hadn't dumped NBA 2K6 for the 360 when I did now.

Absolutely. It was funny last year...the Suns were on TNT all of the time and the Heat (my girls team) were always on ESPN. It was a give and take thing. TNT wasn't in HD, but on the plus side, I didn't have to listen to Bill Walton. ESPN was in HD...but you did have to listen to Big Red. My girl and I couldn't figure out which was a better situation.

I'm a Kobe fan, but I can't say Raja was wrong with what he said. Kobe is an arrogant lil' prick lol. Nobody can deny that. But Raja is plenty wrong with that clothesline last game. Retaliation or not, that was corny at best.

Thing is, he's in Kobe's head. Sad for Kobes is that he still lets little stupid stuff like this get to him. He has to stop that. He's an absolute killer on the floor when he is focused. Maybe some yoga will do the trick...something...something's gotta be done.

Other than that, go Suns! :D

Man, what a game! Awesome clutch 3 at the end of regulation by Thomas, and a killer 3 in OT as well. Great display of offense by Phoenix in OT, all of a sudden Diaw and Marion were converting all of the shots it seemed like they were just missing all game long. Great defense by Marion on Kobe at the end of regulation as well, the way Kobe was hitting everything at that point I was shocked to see him miss that badly.

That was entertaining. Most of the games had been under 100 and tonight, there's little defense.

Or rather, looked like both teams marched to the line all game long.

Miami and NJ should be a good series. Lot of dunks unless Riley tries to revive ugly Knicks ball.

Great win by Phoenix, the Nash-Marion combo was rolling. Don't know if I like that behind the play camera angle.

Man, you must have been watching a different Marion than I was. That was NOT a typical Marion game by a long shot. He missed way too many point blank shots and he also took two lobs and passed them back out...WTF? He still looks tired from having to guard Lamar and Kobe at the other end. He's not even close to his usual self and he's frustrated me more than any other Sun and it's really not even a close competition. That dunk in OT was pretty tight though...on Kobe's head for good measure.

A Zen Master's squad about to blow a 3-1 lead vs a diminished Suns team.

I love it.

Hasn't happened yet. Whatever happens, LA showed Phoenix's vulnerabilities inside.

Yeah Marion is struggling on offense. Not finishing like he did in the regular season. He struggled last year in the playoffs too.

But Tim Thomas making over 50% from 3-point range and hitting all the big shots probably are making up for it.

If the Suns can close out then we should have a pretty decent second round... otherwise having a 6 seed playing a 7 seed in the semifinals is going to look damn stupid. More will be revealed tonight of course, with possible close-outs occuring in the Kings/Spurs and Wizards/LeBrons series...

That was just a thing of beauty. Serves all of the talking heads right for talking about the "hallway" series way before the series was even over. Now who's the MVP? Certainly not Kobe. At least we can put that to rest. I'll listen to the Lebron or Dirk arguments though.

I'd say that so far, the 5 year 65 million dollar contract that everyone said was a "waste of money" has turned out pretty good for Phoenix. Sure, he could be a disaster for the next three years...but the first two years resulting in two MVPs make Bryan Colangeolo look brilliant...it's just too bad he's in Toronto now. Somewhere Dskrizzy is smiling.

Actually, the question people are asking is why Kobe shut it down.

Not that he could singlehandedly bring them back but he didn't shoot much and his posture and energy carried over to the rest of the team in the second half.

Guess he rationalized that they're too young and they need to add more talent -- hence the rumors about them trying to get Yao or Bosh.

Well he shot his ass off in the first half and they were down by 15. I think he just figured that it didn't matter what he did, the rest of his team wasn't up to the challenge.

And it turns out the MVP race wasn't all that close anyway. Nash winning by a couple hundred votes over Lebron with Dirk coming in 3rd. Hell, Kobe didn't even crack the top three.

I still wouldn't have given the MVP to Nash. Caught up in all the hoopla of the Lakers getting up 3-1 is that they never should have been up. The Lakers are a bad team except for Kobe Bryant. The Suns are the better team with the better players. In my mind he is just as valuable to the Lakers if not more so than Nash is to the Suns and he put up the numbers in the regular season.

Not that it matters now of course with the award already being given and the series over. The Suns do deserve a good deal of credit for staying tough and digging themselves out of that 3-1 hole. That it took 7 games to dispatch the Lakers doesn't bode well, however, for the next round but using my brain it's probably a 50/50 pick with the Clippers versus the Suns.

It will be interesting to see if Tim Thomas keeps playing out of his mind or if he reverts back to his usual self.

You gotta remember that Thomas has never played with guys like Nash and Diaw...you know, unselfish guys. He's used to guys like Marbury and all the stiffs in Milwaukee. He's already said he NEEDS to stay in Phoenix next year (he is a FA). We'll see if the money is the issue though since Phoenix will likely only have a veterans exception (around 5 mil) to give him anyway.
