That really bums me out. I thought I got those wins from a good setup, race strategy, and my driver traits. I didn't realize the Hondas were that far ahead of the other cars in performance. :(

Mix,

You're doing fine. Apparently the gaps between cars may in fact be quite small, and you'll notice that there is no numerical value given for the relative differences between cars. It might also be worth noting that were everyone running at their fastest extreme of performance, the Toro Rosso would be routinely crushing the spirit of everyone that wasn't Super Aguri (!) and the Midland would be slowest - actually, the Midland is apparently slowest on actual performance too...

That comparison chart, then, must be complete cobblers unless I missed something fundamental.

Zeppo, the latest word from the pitlane is that the Midland mechanics have successfully removed the Red Bull magnets from the side of my car in time for Monaco.

you know, i've been kinda depressed lately. I either have a bad race, or when I'm having a good one barf it up in the pits or a driver error. Also, I'm the "leader" of the team but Simo keeps kickng me arse pretty much every race and I'm looking for a "demote" option as I certainly don't deserve the position or the hot girlfriend that comes with it.... (hmmm, i'll keep that I think)

but, after looking at the car comparision, and realizing despite the fact that we (Midland) have the 2nd worst cars on the grid, we are 4th in team points, i feel a whole lot better.

Good job Simo, yer certainly carrying us. Vive la Russkie! (A Canadian born Russian at that!)

Just an FYI, you can have up to 4 private games going at once. And I see they've just added old-school Champ Car(AKA CART). Some teams have 3 members, some have just 1. Anyone up for a Champ Car go?

I was thinking about that as well. Maybe an everybody for themselves sort of deal? The oval races could be very interesting.

I'm not intending to be impatient or complain, no rush here. But, Don, if you could post here a good twelve to twenty four hours before you restart the game, that would be great. That way everyone could be sure to have plenty of time to get his practice runs in and trade numbers with his teammate before qualifying.

Again, no rush, I'm in no hurry and understand how far on the back-burner this little entertainment is for you right now.

Zep, you can do your practice anytime you want. When he restarts it, it instantly goes to the next session. That may be what he's waiting for.

I am aware of that, but others may not be. Also, once he begins the session again, the countdown starts for the race proper. One race I missed qualifying, and then missed out on setup and strategy choices for the race because I wasn't aware the clock had been restarted.

Just a request, not a demand.

Considering what happened to our game moderator's family last Saturday, my only response is:

I know, I know. I probably should have just stuck to the PM I sent him. Squid meant no harm. He's a good dude.

We'll resume whenever Don is ready. No hurry, Don. At your pace. Continued thoughts and prayers for your family.

Take care,
PK

You guys have been very patient and understanding with the ups and downs I have had in moderating this game. I know squid meant no harm. In fact, it actually made me laugh. My Dad has a great sense of humor, and sometimes even a little dark, so it's all good. :) Today is my first day back at the office, so once I get through my 500+ unread e-mails, I will get things back running again. I guess at this point we should look at starting the game back up Monday? What time does everyone want me to start it, since it automatically moves to the next session when I resume?

Again, thanks for your patience and understanding.

Is everyone ready for the next session to begin? I believe we are set to qualify at Silverstone? I will start the game at 5:00pm EDT if that is ok for everyone else.

So we're not pausing this round? Just letting people know if they're not prepped for the race at Indy . . .

Six cars starting with dry tires? Looks like lots of folks weren't aware we were continuing through the weekend.

Yeah, I didn't check it today. Slipped my mind, probably because we hadn't been doing weekends.

Guys, I suck. I could have sworn I suspended it when I left the office on Friday after the last session of the day. I should be sacked as ADMIN. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

PS - No conspiracy theories on trying to get my teammate a win. Just pure incompetence on my part.
