399 for a premium system

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=4103879

Availability still quite limited, as far as I can tell from the US retailers online stores.

Up here in Toronto, can get a core system anytime, and with a bit of calling around/searching, could land a premium probably. A couple of my coworkers have impulse bought premium systems in the past week or so.

Sounds like Circuit City had a "relaunch" this weekend and had a decent supply of Premium systems. I see Cores pretty frequently.

I keep thinking the days of walking into a store and seeing plenty of systems is right around the corner, but who knows...

First, I know two people who just walked into Target this week and got systems. I myself have personally purchased 6 systems at Target since launch, not once did I have to camp, although i did show up right at opening until about Feb, then I just stroll in once and a while. I have purchased so many because I have been tracking them down for our employees..thankfully that is all done. But they are availble if you want one.

As for what they retail for, I figure if you have time to start a new topic that has been covered at least 50 times (nevermind the fact that you have to be living under a rock to not know the prices of the systems by now), you probably have time to actually go to best Buy's website and look it up.

thanks guys. I haven't been paying attention to the 360 stuff at all, because I knew I wasn't getting one for a while and didn't want to be "tempted". I did check all the big sellers web sites and couldn't find anything in stock or retail prices. All I could find online was Circuit City selling packages for well over $500.

I'll check the local BB's and CC's and Targets.

Jack,

I used GamerMill.com to get mine. You can set it up to pick which retailers to monitor and then you can get an email or a page. Stay away from the bundles. Circuit City worked well for me.

Jack, I walked into a local Kmart and picked on (Premium for $399) up. I just happened to walk in and ask for one at the time.

The Wellington Circuit City had a sign advertising the availability of the 360, but you needed to ask the manager to get one (not sure if there was a bundle). Either way, it's clear the inventory crunch is starting to abate. No more than 2-3 weeks before you'll actually see them on the shelves and it will be an easy item to walk in and get.

Now, hopefully there will still be willing buyers...

I saw one premium all by itself in a Wal Mart over the weekend, this is the month they are supposed to be more plentiful so maybe they will start showing up more frequently. I checked on ebay and saw that some premiums on there were going for around $425 so maybe that is a sign that they are getting less harder to find for people and they aren't commanding an outrageous price anymore.

Well, these things appear to be readily available in the market up here (Toronto area)

EB stores seem to each have a few. Walmart has some on the shelves. Premiums and core systems. Best Buy generally has them in as well.

finally got mine a couple of days ago.. took trips to 2 Best Buys, a Circut City, a Walmart, & a Target before getting one @ a Gamestop in a mall near me.. yes it was a core (as all they had were 4 of those at the time), but with a few certificates i got, i was able to also get a wireless controller, & just got a HD from EBgames online.. not too bad i should say...

i know everyone is looking for the premium edition, but i was happy getting the core & adding to it..

& i must say, even on a non -HD TV, you can really see the difference in graphics..

For those of you without a 360 and live near the border, all BB and Future Shops as well as any Walmarts in Canada, seem to be stocked up with the latest Premium & Core systems. I was shopping at BB today and I easily saw 10 in stock.

Looks like the 360 shortages are over. I saw five at Walmart this morning then later at Costco, they must have had at least 30 of their bundled systems. I haven't seen that many in one place since launch day.

Where do you live? I have yet to see one sitting on a shelf waiting to be purchased. These buggers have been eluding me their entire lives.

My sons friend keeps going back and forth on selling me his (at one point it was in my home for 4 straight days), the sleepless nights are starting to kill me.

Bolt - check the EB's & Gamestops if ya have any near ya - it still amazes me that i saw people passing up the 360's at an EB because it was only a core (they had 4-5 of those where i got mine) & wanted only the premium..

I guess the better question is where do you live, almost every circular today had ads for 360's BB, Target etc. I happened to be at BB 3 hours after opening today and they had at least a dozen systems left.

Yeah, pretty much every circular in today's paper was advertising a 360. They shouldn't be hard to find now.

This morning I walked into Target right as they opened at 8am.............

Then it happened, I saw 4 systems sitting there, all premiums. I f*cking finally got my damn 360!!!!

WooooHooooo!!!!

With tax it came to 432 and change.

Now to rack up my second X Box and a ton of controllers, and a few games and trade em' in to my local Gamestop and get me a game or two.

What 2 games are my must haves?

Secondly, what is the procedure to go on my pc to transfer my GT to the 360?
