Yeah, The Outfit seemed like it wanted to clone Battlefield and Mercenaries but it isn't nearly as fun as either of those games. For a game that's trying to be a non-stop action title it sure does move slow as molasses.dbdynsty25 wrote:BTW...don't play the Outfit demo after playing GRAW...it's actually pretty embarassing. GRAW is simply in another class.

For anyone wondering, if you play the campaign mode on HARD and unlock each achievement, it will not also unlock the NORMAL achievement (like COD2 did when you played through on a harder level first).
I just got through the first two achievements, both on hard, and wow was it difficult.

Who's gonna be on tonight? I need to get my first multiplayer experience with the GR series with the fellas. The single player is fantastic as far as I can tell. I'm to the point where I'm in the helicopter just unloading on the the troops below on top of the roof. Not far, but far enough to know it's probably going to keep my attention for a little while. Good enough for me.

GRAW this, 360 that!! F*ck. I am going insane, I'm starting to think me and my boy Kev ought to go to his friends house and demand him to gimme his system.
I am going nuts reading you guys and the OSers on this friggin game!!
I will pray hard tonight, hopefully I have a 360 and GRAW tomorrow noon at the least.
Man, the controls in this game are just killing it for me. The aiming seems so slow and unnatural, as does the constant clicking and slow cycling through the different levels of zoom. I guess I'm just spoiled by COD2, where I can line up a shot in a split second, which is probably not too realistic. For me though, it is a hell of a lot more fun.
The precision aiming and sniper scope is a little slower than normal but that hasn't been a real issue for me. Then again I never really liked how COD felt.HipE wrote:Man, the controls in this game are just killing it for me. One issue that I have is I haven't figured out how to snap out of a sniper cam without cycling through all the zoom levels. Seems like there should just be a way to snap from the zoom directly to the third person perspective but the only way I've figured out how to do it is by cycling through the magnifications. Am I missing a button here?

I really need a weapon faq or tips on which weapons I should be using depending on the class or the situation...
I keep bouncing around and trying different ones because I'm not sure which is better. You would think by now I would therefore have a handle on it but I keep getting them confused in my mind. It's easy in a game like Halo where the weapons are so very different both in their looks and in their projectiles but I've having a much tougher time in GRAW.
I know there is the description text box when you select them but I just wish there was a screen that rated them by stars or something across their different attributes.
Great game still btw. It's going to be hard for me to make the adjustment back when a more fantasy based shooter comes on the market.

Well, I have figured out that the multiplayer aspect was bothering me as a sniper. That is where the aiming is just too slow and bouncy as others have mentioned. I have since changed to a rifleman and I am enjoying the online game much more. My only other gripe still is the map design. There are maybe 2 or 3 that are cool, the rest are just poorly designed and boring.

Wasn't the co-op cmapaing supposed to have 8 missions, seems like they cut 4 of them out and now I hear rumors that those 4 will be made as DL content.
anyone know if this is true?

I completed the co-op campaing with a buddy of mine, it was 4 maps and it gave an achievment that was "Complete Chapter 1 co-op" It look as if there are FOUR chapters for co-op leading me to think there COULD be up to 12 more maps for co-op. I am sure we will see atleast 4 more and it will probably be DL content, unless they make a few of the other maps available to play in campaign co-op mode. Either way, I am HAPPPY. The 4 maps were somewhat tough for 2 of us, and when we tried it with 4 guys, it seemed to get even harder (more guys) I am extemely please with this game.Danimal wrote:Wasn't the co-op cmapaing supposed to have 8 missions, seems like they cut 4 of them out and now I hear rumors that those 4 will be made as DL content.

I just picked up my 360 on Monday and would love to add a few of you guys to my friend list. I tried a little solo play last night and got my butt handed to me
. But I loved it anyway! The controls for aiming are definitely a little slow, but I feel it gives a realistic touch.

It's you're, not your!!....Thank you.

I don't know about the co-op. Maybe I've done it too many times already, and one of those early times last week was with 10 other guys, but I wish they were tougher. Last night, Mix, Teal (splitscreen) and I did all four. I set it up with 5 team respawns (and we did use a few of them each mission), and we were able to get through all four of them on the first try. I really wish there were difficulty levels for the co-op missions. I really like them a lot, but there just aren't enough. Are there scores, like the have in SC games? That could be reason to replay them over and over, but that thrill of discovery goes away pretty quick when there are only four missions.
I would like to try the other co-op modes, but I'm not confident they will be any better than old GRs. Recon may be the best one, but that requires minimal shooting. Still, that may be the only non-mission co-op mode that really works, I don't know. I am starting to agree with Spooky about the multiplayer maps. Many are small, very constrained. There aren't enough. They are more GR2 than GR2:SS.
That said, the foundation of this game is awesome. I like all the new HUD stuff and what not, but I am curious to try some siege etc. with all that stuff off. I tried the other night, but didn't get all the options right. I think you can still use the drone, but keep the HUD and map icons off.
I have figured out how to do siege with respawns if we want (I would like to mix it up), and HH is always there. I'm not sure how to make the siege zone random or if you can, but there are options to mess with. The frustration is some of these options make broken games. The first time I tried some custom options, the round lasted 0:20!!

Wow, I didn't even realize you could turn respawns on in coop! I wish I had known that a week ago.
My friend and I finished the third coop mission last night, we had been working on it for a few nights without success, and then last night I basically passed it on my own since he died in the first minute of play. It worked out well for me though, as I unlocked the achievement for getting 32 kills in a row in multiplayer without dying, and also the four kills in four seconds or less.
