Go figure. I don't have a sound card at work, but was the step-father really laughing at him while he cried with fright? If so, that's dispicable.

As a father of a four year old who's actually gotten freaked out by some monsters on Sesame Street (he was a 2-1/2 at the time), I felt so bad for him. It hurt me as much as it hurt him to be that scared.

That's pretty sad. Typical trailer trash.

Take care,

That is really poor judgement. 5 years from now they'll be blaming the kid for having "issues" and wonder why.

If they did that to my kids I think they'd both be startled, and go "cool!!" :)

It's one thing to play a prank in the first place, it could just be funny. My kids would laugh their asses off.

However, when the kid reacts like that, it's time to put the camera down and be a parent and deal with it properly. Hugs... consoling etc.

Yeah, it'd be a lot funnier if it was the kid's brother or something but for a "future" step father to do that, it's pretty harsh.

But damn, the screen slapping was pretty priceless. Sorry.

All kids need a good scare once in a while.

Seriously though, put a few more years on that kid and have his brother or another sibling pulling that off and it is a lot funnier. As it stands, it dips into the disturbing category (but entertaining none-the-less).

I hear that. My 3yr old is having issues with the Sesame Street "monsters" now. Right around 2 1/2 he started checking under his bed and needs the bathroom light left on. I wonder what it is with that show, their puppets seem pretty tame, not really "monsters".

As for the video, that's appauling. It's fun to scare adults, or even teenagers, but that child was physically shaken from that surprise. :(

I thought it was kind of funny. I scared my sister one night after watching The Exorcist by hiding under her bed and shaking it after she laid down. That kid should be allright, but he won't trust his step dad anymore.

That clip bothers me a lot more than it amuses me. It would be great if the kid was a teenager, or it was sibling to sibling, but a stepdad doing that to a little kid, then sticking a camera in his face as he is crying and wanting to be consoled really rubs me the wrong way.

There is already a whole thread somewhere about that.

I agree with PK. This is completely classless.

Any father figure who puts their son through that is cold hearted.

Didn't find this amusing at all.

I saw this as well today, and while it did bother me I thought about it for a minute. There is no way we know if that is the kids father behind the camera, I would bet that it is more then likely his brother or something.
