Much, much lighter than what I would have thought. (and than my experiences)
Only 8 'fucks' an hour? PK hits that in 2 minutes.

Hell, I could teach a doctorate level course on profanity while playing video games. These kids are amateurs.
I can recall a couple of times in GR:IT where I uttered "F*ck, f*ck, f*cking f*ck F*CK!" in a stupor-induced moment of brilliance.
Take care,
PK

The little bit I've played Halo 2 online was a real eye opening experience for me. Yes, there's plenty of cussing in our Toca nights but at least it revolves around what is happening on screen. The amount of cussing for cussing's sake from teenagers was ridiculous...not to mention the racial and other slurs they used non-stop. It really helped me see how intimidating online gaming is for the non "hardcore" set.

i agree Dave.. that really turns me off when i hear that stuff on a constant basis.. such as in Battlefield 2, i was in a game where one guy did nothing but rap the entire game.. it was to the point where i had to turn off the headset.. or when they use the "disgised voices"...the "kiddies" drive me batty..

Yeah, one night I was playing a random game of Ghost Recon 2, and some kid was hurling the "N word" at a very cool kid in our match who was black. It was despicable.
Everyone was getting on this kid's case to end the slurs. Finally, I exploded, screaming, "HEY, sh*theel: Shut the F*CK up or you'll be out of here faster than you can say The Bunkers, you ignorant, racist F*CK!"
Yeah, I met profanity with profanity. But the kid did leave, so mission accomplished.
Like Dave said, I don't mind profanity connected with the game. I could give a masters' level course in it. But profanity directed as a personal slur is big-time verboten, especially if you don't even know your target.
And as ever, if I get too over the top, all of you cats are entitled to say, "PK, shut the F*CK up, please!" Works for Neck, I know.
Take care,
PK

It was a racial slur against a white person so it was OK
LMAO!

Yea, I really hate the racial s***, I got along well once with this clan that was playing out of my wifes hometown of Merida, Yucatan. So these cats would all strategize and talk to one another in spanish online in matches.
Well I speak snanish fluently so I got along with these cats well. I cant tell you how much racial sh*t these kids were spewing at us when we were whooping up on me'.
I suprised them, when in the middle of the match I spouted out in english a long F Bomb laden rant on them. After that I could imagine the looks on their faces, our clan could of heard the perverbial pin drop after that!

One of the best but often unused feature of Live is the ability to mute certain players. I've found that most of the time it's generally only 1 idiot that ruins the fun so I mute that idiot and continue to have a good time with randoms. You guys should try it.
I probably use the word f*** more than I should but I can't f***in stop.
Oh yeah, shut the f*** up pk!

Damn right, Scoop. Individual mute is the way to go. If it's not the one uber-curser, it's the whiny, singing kid, or the heavy-breather with the mike up his nose.ScoopBrady wrote:One of the best but often unused feature of Live is the ability to mute certain players. Individual mute works wonders.
The 360 also has the ability to mute all that aren't on your friends list. This doesn't carry over to Xbox 1 games, but it is a nice feature.Zeppo wrote:Damn right, Scoop.
