I joined an ID league; but, everytime I´m online, looking for a game in my league, either no one is on, or my invitations to play are ignored. Appartently, I´m not the only one not playing my games, because most of the schedule ended up being determined by "coin toss." Well, I ended up in the playoffs by default, which were to be played last night. I go online last night, looking for my playoff opponent and what do you know? He doesn´t show up online. So, today, he gets "coin-tossed" into the championship. Meanwhile, my sportsmanship rating plummets down to 1 star. This is crap!
I don´t mind losing (or winning) by default. But, this is not a reflection of my sportsmanship.
I guess the lesson is, join leagues where you know the guys, and you know when they are going to be on, lest you be tabbed a poor sport.

Not always true, some guys you know in forums are just as bad as the loser that sign up and don´t play. Best thing to do is add alot of people to your friends list...see if they are on alot and if they play when your on, then remove those you never see. Now go and start a league and send these guys some invites.

I asked the guys in our ID league to please log in to xsnsports.com and forfeit their remaining games if they aren´t going to play them. It doesn´t hurt your sportsmanship rating plus, it won´t hurt your oponent´s rating either, but the biggest plus is that the those of us that showed interest in finishing the league can finally do it.

[ This message was edited by: javi on 31-12-2003 11:16 ]
