This Hood guy is the one that I got into it with at the Sportsfrog where every single thread became racist or not right because we did not have the same view as him. I like this site 100 % better because we are respectful of each other usually.

We don't give a s*** what happened at The Sports Frog over a year ago. I don't know what your affiliation is with that forum but please don't bring up that old crap here. We have nothing to do with it and it was totally uncool for Hood to come trolling on our boards if he's got a beef with Zlax. That's what PM's are for. We welcome any and all who want to contribute to the forums here but if you're just here to stir up s*** than kindly take it elsewhere. Thanks.

going back to whether or not Jared should post rules or whatever for newcomers to read...I say WHY?!!!!

I havent been here TOO long, yet I had NO problems seeing how this place ran or quickly learning what OT was for. Its called common sense. I don't want to belittle those that are not adults, but act like an adult with some common sense and you will have ZERO problems here. Sure, we all spout off once in awhile and sometimes we all just agree to disagree, but that is all part of a community. I have met some wonderful people here and a lot of people to game with. Since I have discovered this wonderful place, I find myself here many times a day and visiting other sites I frequented often A LOT LESS!

Simply said: If someone is not capable enough to act as an adult without being told so, then do we really want said person here?

What if 'said people' are just playing around with those they think are a little eager to teach people life lessons and take themselves a bit too seriously? I was simply jumping in to defend a guy who was getting ganged up on. If being a good internet friend is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Then "said people" should take it somewhere else or keep it right at home where all of your good Internet friends will laugh, be merry and think you're the life of the virtual party. Just like at the house party after the junior prom last May.

We're very welcoming of new people, as long as they don't come over from other forums to antagonize users on obvious trolling missions (i.e. Hood). He was trolling, and he was banned for it. As for Zlax's past history...I really don't care. If he trolls here, we'll deal with it. If he doesn't, he's welcome to post here.

Also, no one here will get banned for not posting "OT:" before an off-topic post. He got banned for being a troll, plain and simple.

And welcome to the forums. It's cool that you want to defend your bud...but he was banned for trying to start old forum crap, nothing else.

Yes, many times. When I was in Highschool, My girlfriend worked the snack bar, so I played a good bit for free and got all the range tokens I wanted LOL. VERY NICE course. When was the last time you were there? Are you from this area?

I love how some new posters walk in here like its Creative Commons, or some sort of blog where they can just post whatever they like, whenever they like, without any concern for simple civility or other users.

News flash: This is not a blog. It's a forum that is governed by civility and common decency.

If you can't follow those rules, you will be banned. If you need flash cards to learn those rules, this isn't the place for you. And if you continue to press your case despite flaunting those rules, you will be banned.

DSP has a forum that contains people from many different walks of life with the common interest of gaming and the common traits of intelligence, decency and civility. It's no different than any other club or organization.

This forum is not a journalistic entity or a court of law, governed by fairness and objectivity. No one has to be objective or hear both sides of a story, especially when that story originated outside of this forum. You're not entitled to any "equal time."

Jared isn't Judge Wapner or Katharine Graham; I'm not Rusty Burrell or Ben Bradlee.

It really is that simple. Sad that some people have such a hard time comprehending that.
